I see a dearth of positive reviews on this third season of Daily Life of Immortal King, so I want to emphasize my strong endorsement for the quality of this season. It recaptures the magic of season 1 with its overarching plot, while also successfully imbuing a new episodic quality that rivals popular sitcoms.

I've always loved this show as a masterful and enjoyable parody. The show is about an immortal king who hides his powers, which is cliche and it's meant to be. One thing that sets this parody apart from ones like One Punch Man, in my eyes, is that it's strangely soothing. The... openings/endings and background music is like a peaceful lullaby, in sharp contrast to other parody shows which embody shouting tones reminiscent of battle shounen. It's the kind of show you can watch right before bed, being left with some laughs, a smile, and sweet dreams.

This season reaches new heights on the front of humorous satire. With engaging episodic plotlines, this third season successfully and humorously parodies Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and even the Matrix. While the season has an episodic nature, I do not recommend skipping any episode, as other reviews suggest (other than the bulk of episode 10, outside the first and last minute, since it's mostly a recap). Details in all the episodes masterfully come together in the concluding arc, an arc that is actually well done and recapturing the magic of season 1. In season 2, the final arc was so rushed that it was incoherent at times, but that issue has vanished in season 3. All in all, highly recommend this season and the entire series as a whole.

Simply writing this cause there are not any others for this show,

This is... more of the same, but that's not a bad thing.

Episode 2 was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, an entire episode that builds up for one joke, and IMO that joke was a slam dunk.

While this season sagged a LOT in the middle, I liked how it all tied together and I felt that it had a very strong finish, and one that made a lot of sense.

If you like this show, or if you watched the other 2 seasons then you should watch this season as... well.

Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo 3 (2022)

As this show expands it just seems to get a little bit worse as it goes since it just has less and less continuity. Whilst I appreciate this season had an ending the actual episodes seemed somewhat disconnected from each other apart from heading in a general direction. The show was pretty good before being full of cameos from other shows and games etc. The issue this season has is it is like watching 12 episodes that sort of end up being connected but could also largely be skipped or reordered. They also try to break the third wall... a lot but gets very boring by the end.

The story itself had just dropped off a cliff since it just seems to be standalone episodes pretending to be in a story. There is literally an episode that is about how hard can we rip off pokemon and then never bring it up again. It is like the writers rushed the story through too quickly and now are trying to cash in on the story with extra episodes that lead nowhere special.

The artwork is the main defining feature since it is pretty great and crisp.

The sound is pretty good in combat but at other times just falls a bit flat.

The characters literally don't change and have definitely stagnated. Even the new characters just sort of fall into a mold and stop. It is like they have been designed void of personality.

The show overall looks great, sounds okay, and has no real point but I guess roll on season 4?
