Well, all alone except for "Daisy," someone that she can always talk to and who never hesitates to cheer her up. However, Teru has never met Daisy, she has no idea what he looks like, and her only means of contacting him is through a cell phone that her brother left for her.In stark contrast to the kind words and encouragement Teru receives from Daisy, she gets nothing but grief from the rude school janitor, Tasuku Kurosaki, who forced Teru to work for him after she accidentally broke a window. But while Kurosaki seems like a lazy good-for-nothing who only enjoys making her miserable, is there more to him than meets the eye?[Written by MAL Rewrite] **Included one-shot:**Volume 16: Hetakuso Cupid (The Hopeless Cupid)Background_Dengeki Daisy_ was published in English by VIZ Media under the Shojo Beat imprint from July 6, 2010, to April 7, 2015. MALxJapan -More than just anime- Characters Reviews Jul 1, 2024 Just finished re-reading this series. Since I hadn't touched it since it ended, it is as cute as I remember, but also plot holes and all the side stories sadly do not get finished. If you have read a ton of shojo will this be predictable? Oh yes it will, but the characters are still fun. This is a longer series, but it still manages to feel very rushed at times. The two mani characters are well-rounded. The side characters, kind of? In some ways they are and in others they are not. Don't want to give any spoilers so will not give any examples.... I still wuold recommend it as a light-hearted read between longer and maybe more serious series when you need a change of pace. I will more than likely re-read again, but not for another 10ish years since that is how long it took me to be ready to read for a second time. Reviewer’s Rating: 9 What did you think of this review? But the thing that ruins everything for me is that our main character is a 16 year old high school girl while her love interest, who we are supposed to root for, is the high school janitor and he's 24. That, my friends, is something the law calls "illegal", and I like to call it "gross" and "pe/do". (Also, if you try to justify an adult dating a child with the age of consent in Japan, then 1) you support... pe/dos and 2) in many places in Japan the age of consent is 18.) Not to say that that is the only reason why I don't really like Teru's and Kurosaki's relationship; he's extremely toxic towards her, and while this is a comedy manga so it can easily be brushed off, I'm just not here for it. This could've worked just fine if Teru was a senior (aka 18 years old) and Kurosaki a bit younger, or if this would've been in an university setting, OR if Kurosaki would've been a senior while Teru stayed as a second year student. Literally, any of those and this would've been actually enjoyable. Reviewer’s Rating: 4 What did you think of this review?
