However he does not have any special power except for his broad knowledge, sharp insight, and impeccable instinct about "moe" and its products, from manga to anime to games to light novel to figures. One day he found himself transported to a fantasy world where elves live and dragons fly. And he is given a task—not to fight monster or embark on a quest, but to enhance cultural exchange by becoming a "moe missionary" in this fantasy world! He meets a palace guard who has a bit of fujoshi taste, a half-elf maid, and the empress who is a little girl. He comes up with the idea of building a school. At first it runs as a comedy but later there are serious matters that Shinichi needs to face: ethnic discrimination, social problems, conflict with neighboring countries, sabotage by opposition elements including Japanese government, etc. Can he overcome the obstacles, successfully bring "moe" culture to the fantasy world, and help the people there as well?Background_Outbreak Company: Moeru Shinryakusha_ was published digitally in English as Outbreak Company: The Power of Moe by J-Novel Club from November 17, 2017 to June 14, 2021.Related Entries Outbreak Company MALxJapan -More than just anime- Characters Reviews Oct 26, 2022 Mixed FeelingsPreliminary (5/75 eps) "Making a fantasy world addicted to manga and anime." Review of Vol 1.Story: If you want adventure, this is not the story you're looking for. It's a story that is literally about reading how Dwarfs and Elves fight about what game is best, it's just not very entertaining. The nerdy protagonist is surrounded by beauties, but does nothing, so there's no real romance. 18 volumes of reading about peoples reactions to nerd culture? I loved the anime version, but even I can't handle all these books... Characters: All pretty standard. Loli Empress, Elf Maid, Sexy Soldier, Beast-girl. And a dense virgin teenager who has... the power to resist any girl that wants him. Let's just say it's not very original. Overall. It's pretty interesting to see how modern culture we take for granted is used to win over a fantasy empire. If you've seen works like GATE, with war between Modern vs Fantasy armies, then Outbreak Company is the polar opposite. It's all about if you want a serious story or not. And the writing itself is smooth and easy going, but it feels a bit outdated, the protagonist might be young, but the author isn't.This story is all about nerd culture itself. That is the whole selling point. I like anime, manga etc. But 18 volumes about getting a fantasy world to learn to like that stuff? Honestly, that's just too long for such a topic. What about the PLOT? Nothing new, for those who are used... to reading other works, I may be being unfair in this part of the PLOT because it is a bit old, but you think, wow, is that all? Another point is that the author drags too much, repeating details of the character that you are tired of knowing.-Character ★★ - For me, it's the weakest part of the work by far, as I mentioned before the characters had little development for none, and one of those class of "None" was the MC, another point, there is romance in the work, but. .. As you expect our MC IS TOO DENSE, but this romance you see from afar that it will happen, but it takes time for the author to start and when it does, it's that annoying LN's Jp's.-Enjoyment ★★★ - I really liked the proposal, but as I was reading, the Author barely explored the world, it had so much potential, but you even accept that the focus is on the otaku culture, but not having used it as a way of "spreading the word" to other peoples, they even got into the issue of prejudice between races and it barely touched on the nobility aspect but everything superficial the author didn't even try to explore more of it, besides the author kept repeating himself too much.-General ★★ - It's a work with a great proposal, there are much better works out there for you to spend your time, and unfortunately this is not one of them, of course, that depends on how much you've read & watched, if you're used to it with the otaku side in general, you can pass away from this work, unfortunately it's not worth it.-If you read this review thank you very much and may God bless you!-----SPOILER AHEAD!-----Story - The author practically took a Sci-Fi PLOT out of his pocket, and shoved it down the reader's throat, do you remember that there was a time when anything was Nanomachines? So... Here we are XD.-Character - Of all the characters, some of them only had their decent development in Side Stories, of course the character spoke about his past during serialization, but that was very fleeting and REPEATED for the 2 characters in question, I saw that in this a certain laziness of the Author .But my biggest problem is the MC, man he doesn't have ANY DEVELOPMENT, he's too shallow, if you take his "otaku" away, he's an empty character, and that's even spoken by himself in the work, it's even understandable the reason why girls fall in love with him is not something forced, but his reaction is always "meh" never changes, everything goes through the "otaku view", I go even a little further, for me it implies that parents don't care they cared about raising their son and stuffed him with LN / Manga and Video Games, and look at that he became a NEET for the shittiest reasons possible.-Enjoyment - You might think, okay, you said a lot of bad things, but what message does it convey? Sincerely? Don't be an otaku & fujoshi whatever audience of that sphere you are, don't go to the EXTREME. All Jp's characters are stereotypes of your "hooby", when you stop to think about it, they are practically ANIMALS driven by their desires and nothing else, they have no depth with the very slight exception of 2 characters, but even these two in question, there is no development for them to change their thoughts.- Reviewer’s Rating: 4 What did you think of this review?
