Synopsis

Sakuranomiya Maika is, by nature, a person with bad luck who always gets into trouble, but knows Dino, who manages a cafe. However, it is not any cafe, as the waitresses have to act according to their "attributes."

Blend S is a very cute 4-koma manga with some pretty clever ideas. The series revolves around Maika, a very nice girl with a very nasty glare. Most of the comedy arises from her acting sadistic (either on purpose or on accident) while her true personality is very shy and polite. The author does a good job coming up with fresh ways for that interplay to work, so it hasn't gotten stale yet. Most of the other characters are pretty decent as well, especially Dino the Italian manager of the cafe who loves Japanese culture in general and Maika in particular. The art style is... very simple and cute, which works well with the nature of the series. The faces Maika makes are often some of the funniest parts of the manga. Overall, I enjoy this very much as a quick, refreshing and funny read. I would definitely buy it if it were licensed.
