"I'm a friendly dude."

Mods are douchebags.

What, my awesome three sentence review didn't look enough like a 2nd grade book report?

Suck my dick.

Hello, glad to see you got great taste in anime, too.

Na couldn't care less. Just talking. Anyway, Mononoke didn't sit right with me either. Much more so than Spirited Away. The overall story seemed to be completely worthless to me. But, again I still liked the visuals. I need to watch both again. I think stories in Miyazaki's movies are much too large (more so in terms of ground covered and lack of interaction with the fantasy elements), but that is likely done to mirror the large world he has created and give the epic feel. They should probably be an 11-13 episode series instead. A plot like Grave of the Fireflies or Perfect Blue is much more suited to the movie format. An example of a Miyazaki like series that shows why they shouldn't be 26 episodes would be Moribito.

Its for children. Things happen because they are nice and good. The plot doesn't matter, you are just supposed to look at all of the fantastic images along the way similar to a children's book. I cant really comment on the story since I haven't seen it in a while, but I think that you are looking into it too closely. When the main character changes from one room to another with completely different and intricate designs, unique characters/designs, props, machines, etc, color schemes etc, you are just supposed to be taken in. I mean how much are you gonna get from a childhood romance (close to nothing)? The guy is a dragon. Contrived? yes, but that's just cool.

I can't call that Bleach stuff a review, but... I like the way you think xD

You cannot knock the visuals in spirited away. The animation was fluid. Background, Landscape, and character designs were all incredibly detailed and imaginative. All it takes is searching google images for spirited away. The movie is a fantasy for children which may excuse some of the problems with the story telling. Artistically, it stomps most anime out there.

I totally agree with your Cowboy Bebop review. Finally somebody who adresses the flaws in that so called masterpiece. It's not bad at all, but it's far from the pinnacle of anime entertainment.

Out of all Miyazaki films, I believed "Grave of the Fireflies" and "Spritied Away" to be quite awesome. Though I don't agree with every criticism in your review, it is just soooo refreshing to see the flaws addressed in his movies, because his fans literally think every movie to be perfect, and casual anime viewers call him "the god of anime" and such shit. Disney then made everything worse, as they love doing. Thank you for actually giving a negative review, that takes courage.
