I absolutely agree. It's disappointing because of its strong visual direction, and the thoroughly grounded combat, arms, and armor- historically accurate in a way which is distinctly rare in the medium. It's a shame the show really lost any steam it had. It's like it didn't know what to do next, how to play for tension, or how to finish the show. So yeah, it would have been a better OVA. It could have focused on it strengths, and presented a stronger, more potent final product instead of the mid end product we got.

lol i disagree, the flashbacks are he biggest flaw of the series because of that. even if the flashbacks are wattpad fanfics of the original stories those stories cut the fight alot and this is a progressive problem. After jack vs heracles the flashbacks got even worse and the fights more boring
