Educational Gourmet Anime that will Inspire and Instruct you in the Art of Cooking are for those anime that do not just show food, but include:-
* Background on ingredients properties
* Education on how some food products are grown / harvested
* Instructions on proper methods of preparing and/or cooking
* Usually these include recipes
* Final product is delicious food
That the viewer can then be inspired to try and cook, or look for a restaurant to eat it!
Note: I will be adding and re-ordering items on this stack when I watch more Gourmet Animes.

The grand-daddy of gourmet anime. Very high on education, you'll learn many things about simple ingredients like rice. Includes the history, regional differences causing variations in flavor profile, specific cooking instructions.
Need this to finish being subbed as I learned a lot from this.

Osaka folks have long eaten ingredients that when prepared have medicinal benefits and this is why the residents there are so long lived. I rushed out to purchase bitter melon to make that recipe after watching this movie

French trained British Chef spends 100 days exploring Japanese Food's origins, culinary and cultural history. Very illuminating with specific cooking instructions. After watching episode 2, I tried tempura and it worked just like they said it would. I then started to look for any other vegetables I could tempura!
Art is more US cartoon style, but culinary education value is very high.

This cute girls drinking and snacking after work is surprisingly educational. One girl is a real authority on all kinds of alcoholic beverages from beer, to wine, to cocktails, sake and hard liquor. There's even tit bits about which snacks go best with each different after work drink. No cooking instructions for the snacks, but there are lots of instructions on how to pour, and prepare those tasty drinks. Warning: May result in the viewer craving an ice cold beer poured the "right" way with a nice head of foam. Aaaaahhh!!!

Short gourmet anime with basic animation except for the food, which looks great. There's some education on the ingredient/dish, especially good is how they pair it with alcohol and explain why these things taste good together. Zero preparation, this is more of a stress relieving slice of life gourmet anime.

The ingredients are a mix between fantasy analogues of real life ingredients and superior product placement. For example, Orc meat = Pork or Porc, Cocatrice and Wyverns are like Chicken, they have some red colored Bulls that are basically beef. Some of the things he buys from his Grocery App are real items that I could recognize just from the packaging. Certain sauces like Teriyaki, shoyu, Kikkoman and some panko.
Based on the ingredients purchased and some of his preparation instructions I could already tell what dish was going to be made. Loved this series.
