Myths of Our Past (original) (raw)

Introduction post! [12 May 2005|10:59pm]
G'day to all! ^_^I stumbled upon your community whilst looking for Druid-type communities. I just discovered my path, and am very eager to delve into it.I did an Anthropology project on Celtic mythology last year as well, so the realm of mythology (really, all mythologies) has peaked my interest over the years. Blessings,Sarah (Aeritone)

Irish Celt: The Tuatha de Danann Come to Ireland [21 Mar 2005|09:39pm]
[ **mood** | amused ] As I was doing some hunting for resources to bring to the community tonight, I came across this wonderful story told by C. Austin about the Tuatha de Danann going to Ireland...I think it's extraordinary how the Celts acknowledge the existance of gods other than their own. They seemed to have respected the fact that some areas had different gods than others.... :) Or maybe I just read into it wrong, lol. Also, I have a few pictures to make into icons for the community soon, but I lack a photo editting program (don't ask). But all should be fixed by next Wednesday (making a trip to VT this week)Anyway, the story's behind this here LJ-Cut, lol. ( The Coming of the Tuatha de Danann to IrelandCollapse )

Welcome [20 Mar 2005|10:50pm]
[ **mood** | anxious ] Welcome to the Community "Myths of Our Past" aka "Myth Ranting." It is a community for everyone to learn about the past... Inspiration from my lack of knowledge of religions outside of Celtic and Greek. :) Feel free to post stories and myths from your beliefs, as long as you cite the religion... and please also include the source you found it at, that way we can look into the book and learn more. :) Also, please refrain from bashing eachother's beliefs and such, you will immediately be banned. :-D Thank you!
