First of all I thank Almighty God, the heavenly father, for his grace to keep me healthy, strong and lively. He made me courageous to work diligently with all my efforts. My very special and deep thanks are given to Dr.Iddi A.M Makombe, my major research supervisor for his tireless comments and remarks on improving my dissertation at every stage. He guided me fully to this end. May Almighty God fully protect him and his family. I would also like to thank all heads of selected secondary schools that I visited for data collection. The school heads allowed me to carry out the study in their schools unconditionally. I am very grateful to all respondents. They include teachers and parents who were involved in interviews, focus group discussions and discipline masters and mistresses who provided me with necessary documents for review. These were at Kidodi secondary school, Lyahira secondary school, Ruhembe secondary school, Iwemba secondary school, Kidodi, Ruaha and Ruhembe wards. God bless them. I feel indebted to my relatives who often encouraged me during my studies from coursework to dissertation writing. In fact, they supported me morally and materially. They also helped to take care of my family during my absence. I thank my fellow students especially those whom we made a study group together during coursework. We discussed a lot to make everyone of us understand. Lastly, I would not forget to thank my best friend and brother, Syriacus M. Byabato and his wife for their close support in my life. They have always been with me and my family in every matter. God of heaven bless them and the family.
