Long-term Plans | [Sep. 21st, 2008|11:33 am]The Naoko Fanmail Project |
---|---|
The only big concern I can think of at the moment is shipping. Obviously it will depend on just how large this project will get, but if the package is enormous, shipping will obviously cost a lot (and overseas!) but as mentioned earlier, this will be more something to worry about towards the end. Obviously if someone wants to send a life-size Sailor Moon pinata they would be expected to contribute more shipping-wise than someone sending in a Post-It Note-sized message. ;P | |

How You Can Help | [Sep. 21st, 2008|11:28 am]The Naoko Fanmail Project |
---|---|
Well, there are plenty of things you can do to help! The first thing, obviously, is to submit your stuff! We have to show Naoko how much we really love & appreciate her for everything she's done.Secondly, it'd be great to get the word out, let's not limit this to just the community. If anyone with a popular YouTube account wishes to make a short advertisement-esque video that explains our Project, we could get a huge following. Not to mention the many still-active Sailor Moon sites out there that I'm sure would be willing to give our plans a little shout-out. We will most likely be in dire need of translators, to ensure that Naoko can understand our letters. I have no idea just how much English she can speak/read, so I'm sure having translations for the fanletters will be a great help to her. | |

Things to Submit | [Sep. 21st, 2008|11:17 am]The Naoko Fanmail Project |

The possibilities are endless when it comes to what you what to contribute! A short and simple note to Naoko works, as does a binder filled with every piece of fanart you've ever created. xD It's up to you! Some suggestions are, handwritten letters, drawings, photos of your Sailor Moon collection, cosplay photos, little gifts or crafts...and whatever else you can think of!Once we get the ball rolling, we'll have established the common address for everyone to send their contributions to. Then it'll all be packed up in a Super Special package to be shipping across to Japan. People who don't have any physical contributions could simply type up their message on LJ/e-mail to be printed and included. I may set up an e-mail specifically for this purpose. My idea, right now, is that letters will be placed into a large binder for organisational purposes. Much better than making Naoko taking out all 2340823 pages one-by-one, hm? :3 Of course I don't want to limit people's creativity, so there won't be any set size limit or requirements to meet. We will talk more about shipping when the time comes. Obviously that's much further down the road... | |

Information | [Sep. 21st, 2008|09:52 am]The Naoko Fanmail Project |

The general concept of this idea is that Sailor Moon fans all over the world can come together to create an enormous fan-package, stuffed with letters, fanart, photos of cosplay and collections, gifts, any anything else that you can manage to make pertaining to Naoko Takeuchi and her creations. Many people, I'm sure, have never bothered to mail Naoko from lack of motivation, reluctance to payfor international postage, or simply because they don't know Naoko's mailing address. Which makesthis even better is that, rather than a few people sending out individual fanletters, etc, we can show Naoko that we act as an entire community together. And I am positive it's more likely to get Naoko's attention! :) more to be added later....!Feel free to comment with suggestions to make this information post more understandable/any info I may have missed/whatever else you can think of. :3 | |
