- blergh. never eating cotton candy again.
but there's one more left.
resisting urge to consume to prevent food from going to waste, regardless it be junkfood.... can i use it to sweeten tea or something?

- 13 piano collection by Hamauzu + Kuroda! XD was worried there wouldn't be one as there isn't one for 12... is there?

- woohoo, finished another book this year. *pats self* hardboiled wonderland and the end of the world, bought obviously for having influenced haibane, and other works... or was it another book of his?

anyway, yeah, the end of the world is *so* haibane... but it isn't. a little disappointing that it drilled into nitty-gritty details over nothing, but it was a fun ride. i learned a thing or two about unicorns. ...and i can't help but get eroge vibes from hard-boiled wonderland.

i got the Birnbaum translation (wouldn't be done with it this "quick" now if not). there were parts that sounded like lazy literal translation, though those instances were very few and far in between. for the most part the transition was seamless (save for typos), almost too perfect that i can't help but wonder how much liberty was exercised.

bird is next on the to-read list, but first i need to finish all those halfway-read books. it's extremely difficult for me to pick up a story again once i put it down -- especially when i stupidly decide to pick something else up. focus me, concentrate me! and then there's the huge ribon/hanayume backlog.

anyway, if i ever get around finishing bird, remind me to get sheep and kafka.

- caught up with nana (vol.21 anyway). i can't believe it took 20 volumes for a year to elapse (so there were flash foward to the future scenes, but still). perhaps because i hadn't picked up a manga in a while, i mowed down two volumes in one night, the third the following night. why can't my progress with novels be as swift as this? is now crazily thinking of rereading the series from start for the gazillionth time. happens a lot with long-running serials.

- nice seeing i've and elega get together. can we have the full sadame no melody now?
