Being Grown up sucks. So it finally happened. Tyler got his first real cold and then rapidly passed it along to me and my husband. We were all down for the count for a while, but now Tyler is firing on all cylinders again. But mommy and daddy are still sick and not in any shape to entertain a rowdy 8 month old. *Sigh* Remember when being sick meant you could lay on the couch and watch movies all day? Those days are long gone I suppose.

Nothing. Well it's been a while since I posted in here so I thought would just to kick out the cobwebs. Not too much interest in this site and to be honest I haven't paid it much attention myself. Busy with the boy and day to day life. It is nice to have this journal I suppose because if I should get peeved at my husband I can post here without worry of him reading it. But at the moment no complaints to be made ;o). Guess that's all.

Sleeping Just wanted to see a posting on the page so it didn't look so lonely when I checked it! Guess it will be a while before there is interest and perhaps there never will be. Hmmm, what to say, what to say...
The little one is down for a nap at the moment, could be a long one, could be a short one. We never know anymore. He was getting up at 8am regularly but now he has decided to start his days earlier and is rising at 7:30. He is going to bed earlier though which is nice so we have a little bit of time to ourselves (going to sleep at 9pm now). We are currently working on transitioning him into his co-sleeper crib. We initially intended to use it but I found after giving birth that I wanted him as close to me as I could get him. It felt natural to have his face right in front of mine (I found out later that this is because it is instinctual and that the carbon dioxide released from the mother acts as a natural catalyst to the child's system to trigger him/her to breath) and I found that when he was in the sleeper I could not sleep at all unless I had a hand on his belly. So now we are working on using the sleeper more so we can have some adult time, though we are not very consistent! It is still soothing to me to have him close to me at night and so much easier for night time feedings which he is still waking at least 1 time every night to eat. And when we are really tired we just don't want to have to wake to get him out of it when he gets hungry (even though it is right next to the bed it is lower than our mattress because we have a memory foam mattress on top of the regular mattress). Well, that's all for now. We have a birthday party for his cousin this afternoon so I better get ready.
