One of which is classical maxillary haemangioma and the rest of the others have different and unusual presentations. They all have different radiological features and were managed successfully by different surgical approaches without any recurrence.

In those cases where foreign bodies migrate, manifestation is generally delayed considerably.[4] They may also injure the adjacent blood vessels or present as a neck abscess.

The main challenges facing an otolaryngologist in rural tertiary care Centre's of developing countries include the significant delays in referral, the relative lack of sophisticated equipment at the surgeons' disposal and the mortality associated with loss of airway. MATERIALS AND METHODS: All patients who underwent bronchoscopy for suspected aspiration of foreign bodies in North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling, between June, 2012 and May, 2014 were included in the study. All patients underwent rigid bronchoscopy under general anesthesia. Foreign bodies, when found, were removed using conventional grasping forceps. RESULTS: Thirty-six patients were admitted for suspected tracheobronchial foreign body (TFB) during the study period. The presentation pattern was highly variable between the patients although the predominant presenting complaint was that of respirat...

It is characterized by its pleomorphic or mixed appearance with clearly recognizable epithelial tissue intermingled with tissue of mucoid, myxoid and chondroid appearance of glandular origin. We present a case of a pleomorphic adenoma of the sublingual salivary gland, which is quite rare. CASE REPORT: A 23 year old female presented with a painless swelling in the sublingual region for the last 1 year. Clinical examination revealed a 3cm x 4cm swelling in the submandibular region which was firm in consistency with a lobulated surface. FNAC was done from the swelling and it was diagnosed as a case of pleomorphic salivary adenoma. The patient was posted for surgery. After appropriate dissection, the swelling was identified and it was meticulously removed. Histopathological examination confirmed it as a case of pleomorphic salivary adenoma. CONCLUSION: Pleomorph...
