Alphonso Lingis's view is taken in to overcome a mainstream belief that there is a distinction between my community and the stranger's community, or us community and the community of those who have noting in common. His view is thus beneficial to reveal the in-depth paradoxical meaning in the relationship between the stranger and me: I am the stranger and the stranger is me. Therefore, to care about the stranger is to care about myself.

By discussing E. O. Wilson, D. W. Orr and the other scholars' views, this paper points out that one of the educational problems is the underpinning assumption of 'ecophobia'. Ecophobia results in the human alienation from nature as well as the ideology of human domination over nature. This leads to the hostility between human beings and nature. This paper argues that ecophilia should take the place of ecophobia and be taken as an aim of education. The concept 'ecophilia' means the closeness and positive coexistence between human beings and nature. Ecophilia as an aim of education could evoke reflection upon how people do towards nature and the fostering of the reconciliation between humans and nature. Three relationships between humans and nature are suggested as the approach to the education of ecophilia.

In my view, citizenship education and human rights education cannot be taken as replaceable for each other. Underpinning the idea of citizenship is a distinction between ‘politically qualified’ and ‘politically unqualified’ persons. This distinction implies a violation of human

Hidden this question is another question that has often been neglected: "where are we?". The place where we are situated or settled affected the way we conceive, perceive and act. To focus in education: the place where we are educated influences what and how we learn. Thus "school" may impact on the process and the result of education. Though schools have usually been taken as a built physical environment where formal education takes place, this paper aims at revealing the various meanings of schools as more than a built physical environment from the geophenomenological perspective.

However, drawing on the perspective of geo-phenomenology, this paper argues that the meanings of nature and home overlap to the extent that it is possible to experience nature as home. Moreover, it can be shown from the paradoxically interwoven senses of nature and of home that there is a dynamic process of a to and fro journey between nature and home. Fertile educational implications can be drawn out from the invisible journey: first, the dynamic experience between nature and home elicits a learning about differences; and secondly, the experience of nature as home, which can inspire feelings for nature, implies an ethical dimension of learning to treat nature as carefully as home.
