What kind of artwork should I send?
If you have a design you know you want to use, but don't know how to format it for the buttons, no problem. Send the image to orders@nerdgirlbuttons.com and tell us what you'd like done with it. GIF and JPG images are the easiest to work with, but we can deal with other file types as well.
If you want us to design an image for you, please be as specific as possible in your request. Find a picture you like and send or link it to us. Find a font you'd like to have used for any text in your design. GoldenWeb.it is a good place to look for fun and interesting fonts. Let us know where you want the text, if you want it to curve, etc. Let us know which colors you would like used for background, text and anything else in your design. The more details you provide, the easier it will be for us to put your design together the way you want it. This will save time for everyone and you will get your buttons sooner!
If you're inclined to design your own artwork, more power to you! This will definitely get things moving along smoothly. Here are some templates and guidelines to get you started.
When working with either of these templates, please note:
--The smallest circle represents the border of what will be shown on the front of the finished button. Your complete design should fit inside this circle. However, in the finished artwork, the actual line of the circle should be erased, unless it is specifically part of your design.
--If your design involves a colored or patterned background, the background should extend out to the middle circle, labeled "colored background", so that the background wraps around the edges of the button. Otherwise, the finished buttons will have a white ring around the edges.
--The largest, outter-most circle is to show the size of the paper circle cut for use in the button machine and nothing in the area between the larger two circles will show anywhere on the finished buttons.
Please direct any other questions to one of the email addresses listed above or check out the links for more info.
