xandofterra @ 11:32pm: Declaration of Independence comparison and contrast This goes along with the other post I just made, I'd just like to bring it to everyone's attention directly. All of the quotations are DIRECTLY from the Declaration of Independence, and are in reference to King George's crimes against the Colonies.
"He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount of payment of their salaries."
-Bush's appointment of his own little band of concervative fundamentalist puppets to the Supreme Court
"He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance."
-Homeland Security
"He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power."
-Bush has used military causes to override civil liberties and civil power.
"He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation"
-Through his actions and his control over the concervative dominated government, he has suspended our constitutional rights and inacted legislation that suits his own agenda.
"For depriving in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury"
-That's habeas corpus folks, and they just tossed it out the window.
"He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty and Perfidy scarely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation."
-Unjustified long-term war against multiple nations
"He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us,"
-Don't forget about 9/11, TERR'! They'll get you if you don't trust in Bush.
"A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."
-This is the conclusion of what is going on here folks.
So, what are the options here people? Well, our Constitution has one:

and of course;
"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object envices a design as to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
