A collaboration between scholarly publishers, researchers, and other interested parties to promote the unrestricted availability of scholarly citation data.


WikiCite (2016)

An initiative funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to build a collaborative graph of linked open bibliographic data in Wikidata.


Notabilia (2011)

An award-winning data visualization project based on a study of deletion discussions in Wikipedia.


The Altmetrics Manifesto (2010)

The Altmetrics Manifesto seeded a community of researchers, developers, open science advocates, librarians, publishers, and policy makers interested in new ways of measuring attention and impact of research objects using data available from the web.


Readermeter (2010)

A mashup visualizing author- and article-level metrics based on the collective readership of scholarly publications in a collaborative platform. One of the first proof-of-concept altmetrics applications.
