Extraction of maximum power and lowering of THD are still the main issues during the integration of wind energy sources to the grid due to the noncontrollable variability of wind energy sources and the application of power electronic devices as interfacing devices. The main objective of this paper is to utilize modern optimization techniques for extracting maximum power points and implementing a Multilevel inverter to obtain minimal THD. This paper has introduced Improved Grey Wolf Optimization with Levy Flight for tracking maximum power from WECS. The production of electricity from the solar energy system has led to decrement in environmental ... more The production of electricity from the solar energy system has led to decrement in environmental pollution, dependency on fossil fuels, and rescue from health-related problems. Despite having numerous benefits, its integration deteriorates the quality of power supply due to (i) Harmonics (ii) variability in voltage, which plays a vital role. This paper is attempting to explore techniques that can mitigate the harmonics and at the same time control voltage in the course of photovoltaic array integration to the load. Here Cascaded H- Bridge multilevel inverters of distinct levels have been designed, analyzed, and compared. Among them, the most favorable 23-level (having total harmonic distortion below 5% as per IEEE-519) of Cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter is applied as an effective and efficient power electronic interfacing strategy for solar energy integration. BLDC Motor dynamics is of non-linear nature. These uncertain systems cannot be effectively handled by PID controllers. The terms Fractional integrator and fractional derivative enhanced the effectiveness of PID controller. To accomplish the improved response of BLDC motor FOPID parameter tuning is important. The paper introduces a comprehensive performance review of optimization methods which is applied for tuning of FOPID controller.
This paper introduces modulation techniques to reduce harmonics in Flexible Power Electronic Tran... more This paper introduces modulation techniques to reduce harmonics in Flexible Power Electronic Transformer. The proposed FPET is power electronic based transformer which has enough flexibility to satisfy future needs of power electronic centralized systems. The main feature of the FPET is the independent operation of modules each of which contains one port and connected to a common dc link. Each port can be considered as input or output, because bidirectional power flow is provided. More harmonic component in the input current of FPET has been compared to the similar circuits topologies proposed for multilevel PET. PSM i.e. PHASE SHIFT MODULATION technique will be applied to FPET to control voltage and reduce harmonics. SPWM, SIGMA DELTA MODULATION, and HYSTERESIS BAND CONTROL MODULATION techniques would be used to reduce THD of voltage and current waveforms of FPET.

This has been catalyzed due to the increment of global warming and the depletion of fossil fuel. In this paper, an extensive literature review is conducted for the evaluation of the maximum power point tracking techniques to get the maximal energy extracted from the Photovoltaic panel considering the effects of electrical and environmental parameters. Various algorithms for MPPT are reviewed and compared. The future research directions regarding the efficiency of energy conversion from the Photovoltaic Array are recommended.

The purpose of this paper is to highlight novel approaches for a finer and effective outcome. Here, distinct modulation techniques have been introduced to enhance power quality through minimizing the harmonics and to regulate an output voltage of power electronic-based transformer. The models are designed in MATLAB/Simulink. The different approaches such as sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM), sigma-delta modulation (SDM), delta modulation (DM) and hysteresis band current control technique (HBCC) have been discussed and applied with results and compared with each other to analyze lower THD.
