- 💪 Together, We Can Eliminate Cervical Cancer 💪 Cervical cancer is preventable, and we’re closer than ever to making elimination a reality. Today, we celebrate global strides toward the WHO’s 90-70-90 targets—but there’s more work to be done. In underserved regions, many still lack access to critical screening and treatment. At NCDconnect, we’re dedicated to bridging these gaps, ensuring every woman can access life-saving care. Let’s push forward together to make cervical cancer history #CervicalCancerAwareness #EndCervicalCancer #HPVVaccine #CancerScreening
- 🌍 World Diabetes Day is a call to action for all of us to break down barriers and bridge gaps in diabetes care. This year’s theme, “Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps,” emphasises the need for a world where people living with diabetes have equitable access to quality, non-invasive treatments that prioritise their well-being. We believe in fostering collaboration across sectors—governments, policy makers, healthcare providers, people living with diabetes, civil society organisations, and advocacy groups—to remove obstacles and support individuals in managing their condition with dignity and comprehensive care. By uniting our efforts and amplifying the voices of those affected, we can ensure everyone has the tools and options needed for a better quality of life. Let’s join forces, raise awareness, and create lasting change for the millions impacted by diabetes. Together, we can make a difference. 🌱💙#WorldDiabetesDay #DiabetesAwareness #HealthEquity #DiabetesLife #GlobalHealth International Diabetes Federation Action4Diabetes (A4D) Insulin for Life PATH NGO Santé Diabète David Beran Fiona Ooi Hamidah Nabakka Abha Patil James Elliott Stéphane Besançon Callie Weber 💙

- 🌍 Lung cancer is the 3rd most common cancer in low- and middle-income countries, and the future looks daunting: by 2045, new cases in LMICs are projected to nearly double. With rising numbers, treatment access is critical—but even more crucial is stopping this curve. We must prioritise prevention, screening, and early diagnosis for all. Each one of us in the health supply chain has a role in reducing lung cancer's impact. As procuring entities, let’s work to make targeted therapies, immunomodulators, and cytotoxic medicines and essential diagnostic tools—like ultrasounds, centrifuges, and microscopes—affordable and accessible within healthcare systems. Together, we can drive meaningful change. Join us in making a difference today #LungCancerAwareness #GlobalHealth #CancerPrevention #CancerScreening #CancerCare
- The 9th Biennial Forum of the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network gathered over 200 stakeholders from 25 countries, united to accelerate access to quality healthcare across Africa. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore solutions for bridging the last mile in healthcare by addressing the ongoing barriers that fuel inequity! The event emphasised key strategies: • Primary Health Care Matters: The Alma-Ata Declaration remains as crucial today as it was 40 years ago, emphasising that health is a community-wide responsibility, reliant on engaged health workers, sustainable financing that minimises out-of-pocket expenditure, and community support. • Tackling Inequity in UHC: The Global Monitoring Report shows that NCDs still lag behind other health priorities. Closing this gap is essential for achieving Universal Health Coverage. • Resilient Systems through Local Manufacturing: Uninterrupted access to high-quality, affordable health products is essential for resilient healthcare systems. Coordinated, continent-wide manufacturing and procurement mechanisms are vital for addressing the “Empty Shelf” Syndrome, reducing dependency on imports and dismantling the growing market for substandard and falsified medicines. • Embracing Digital Health technologies: As the WHO Director-General says, “The future of health is digital.” Digital tools are essential to drive efficiency and expand access, requiring strong collaboration and resources. 👫 The message is clear: Together, we can achieve more. At NCDconnect, we’re committed to bridging access gaps in NCD care through partnerships, coordinated procurement, and lasting solutions. Ready to make equitable healthcare a reality? Let’s join forces and tackle these challenges head-on to build a healthier, more equitable future for all. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/et_VjJMj #FutureOfHealth #EPNForum2024 #AccesstoMedicine #GlobalHealth #NonCommunicableDiseases Joyce Mbithi Peter McOdida Christine Häfele-Abah Jules LEBEAU Eghosasere Ramnaps IDA Foundation Roche

- 🎗️ No one should face breast cancer alone. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we reflect on the millions of women worldwide battling this disease, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where access to care is limited. Beyond support after diagnosis, the focus must also be on early detection and timely screening. Governments and healthcare providers should prioritise access to diagnostics so treatment can start earlier—or be avoided altogether. Comprehensive care across all stages is key. Together, we can ensure no one is left behind.#BreastCancerAwareness #HealthcareAccess #EarlyDetection #GlobalHealth #Diagnosis
