Nordic Semiconductor is a Norwegian fabless semiconductor company specializing in wireless communication technology that powers the Internet of Things (IoT). Nordic was established in 1983 and has more than 1465 employees across the globe. Our award-winning Bluetooth Low Energy solutions pioneered ultra-low power wireless, making us the global market leader. Our technology range was later supplemented by ANT+, Thread and Zigbee, and in 2018 we launched our low power, compact LTE-M/NB-IoT cellular IoT solutions to extend the penetration of the IoT. - We are excited to share that the nRF9151 SiP, the smallest and lowest power cellular IoT solution, and the nRF9151 DK are now available! nRF9151 is a fully integrated, pre-certified SiP, free from US tariffs, and supports LTE-M/NB-IoT and DECT NR+, with application MCU or stand-alone modem capability. This simplifies the development and deployment of scalable products across massive IoT markets, including industrial automation, asset tracking, smart city, smart metering, and smart agriculture. “I’m excited that the nRF9151 is now entering production because we know our customers and many other IoT developers demand a highly integrated, compact, and low power LTE-M/NB-IoT and DECT NR+ solution. - We are happy to announce the general availability of nRF Cloud Message Routing, a new feature that allows a cloud application service to register Webhooks and receive push-style callbacks with data from cellular IoT devices in the field, via nRF Cloud. Customers creating devices based on our nRF91 Series SiPs can now use nRF Cloud as a unified cloud entry point. This gives access to all of nRF Cloud’s services and features, such as location services, device management, and FOTA, and now additionally, routes the device data to their own cloud application service. Streamlining cloud connectivity via nRF Cloud leads to embedded software applications that are simpler to build and maintain, more stable and robust, and require fewer FOTA updates. nRF Cloud is tailored for our ultra-low power devices, so customers can leverage features such as CoAP interface and the nRF Cloud libraries in nRF Connect SDK to optimize power consumption and extend battery life on the field. Arendi AG has unveiled a Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio TV streamer, providing high quality streamed audio from a TV, stereo, PC, or similar device to an end user’s Bluetooth LE- or Auracast-enabled headphones, speakers, or hearing aids. It employs our dual core nRF5340 SoC and nRF21540 RF front-end module to deliver low power, long range, reliable wireless connectivity with improved audio quality.
