So I just got finished watching Handheld and Rigidly Digital the concert footage from the Hope Street tour.While it was well put together, somehow it didn't feel like they captured the sense of SLF live, for some reason.But the interview with Jake they tacked on as a special feature stood out. At the very least, I learned where the band got their name. I had not heard that story before...

i feel silly posting in here twice in a row with no other.. posts... oh well, but i have all the stiff little fingers' cd's exceptnow thenand tinderboxand i can order one more cd, so .. does anyone have any opinions on which cd is better?

i just joined this community, cos i love love love stiff little fingers... nobody seems to have written in here in a long time.. but i thot id join anyhow.. i got guitar and drum.. about a month a go and its the best new stif little fingers' songs ive heard in a while... im planning to go to dublin in december and see blood or whiskey and stiff little fingers...hah i have some money to save

I just joined.I almost went to see Stiff Little Fingers and Dropkick Murphys last year. My friend described the part in "High Fidelity" when the guy who works there who's not John Cusack or Jack Black is talking to this girl he likes. He's telling her that Green Day was influenced by two bands. "the clash" she says. And then he says "yeah, and this band called Stiff Little Fingers." So he puts on a record and "Suspect Device" plays. I never had noticed that before, now I realize that song is amazing. I am totally obsessed with it. I haven't heard that much SLF, just a couple of songs, but what I have heard I loved. And they're coming to my town on August 24th! Can someone give me a verdict on how good they are live?And oh, random question. Anyone here heard of the band called Suspect Device? I noticed a cd by them for a dollar. Figuring it was named after the kickass song, I bought to satisfy my curiousity. It's actually pretty damn quality.Anyway, it's good to be here...Sorry I rambled so long.
