Walter Herbst

A professional designer often referred to as the "god-father" of contemporary industrial design. Developed what was the largest privately held design and development firm in the US before transferring it to employees and entering academia. Started a new discipline in the management of product design and development at Northwestern University which became the standard for others around the world. Is now a partner in Herbst Produkt a design and innovation firm in Silicon Valley which is the recipient of more awards per employee than any firm in the US.
