Not Just Brides (original) (raw)

Basic Expectations:
1. Be respectful of all fellow community members. Everyone's ideas are worthy of being heard. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK is welcome, CRITICISM and flaming are not. Anyone violating this guideline will receive ONE warning. Future transgressions will result in being banned from the community. If you feel you are being treated disrespectfully, please contact the community moderator, heatherbird.

2. All posts must be related to weddings and wedding planning.

3. Please give your post a relevant header describing the topic of your post and tag your entry to make our community as useful as possible to all interested parties. For a list of tags and how to use them, please visit this post.

4. If you are a wedding vendor posting this community, your post should be educational (i.e., an insider's look at the ins and outs of being a vendor, or advice for those planning a wedding from a vendor's standpoint). Pimping oneself is generally discouraged. If you are the moderator of another wedding-related community or website, please request that it be added to our affiliates or favorite links by replying to this post. If you are a wedding vendor, please reply to the relevant directories to have your information added. As moderators, we respectfully retain the right to refuse your request if we do not feel that your community, website, or business aligns with our goals as a community.

Guidelines for Images

1. Each entry may include one (1) visible photo with a maximum size of 350x250. All additional images must be placed behind a lj-cut out of respect for dial-up users and users with long friendslists. For information on how to do a cut, please visit this page.

2. If you are a photographer or other vendor interested in posting images from a ceremony or reception, please make sure that you have permission from the couple involved to post images from their wedding to the Internet, particularly if those images include faces or other identifying features.

3. If you are a recent bride or groom interested in posting professional photographs from your own ceremony or reception, please make sure that you have permission from your photographer and/or other vendors to post images of their work to the Internet, and give credit where available so that interested parties can take advantage of their services. Often professional photographers have copyrighted their work, and we don't want anyone to end up with legal trouble!
