Within the code section it is clear that there is a considerable scope for enhancing the code development process by the development and application of a document database system. At the same time it is also clear that there is a limit to the amount of change that can take place in terms of the evolving computer environment without a risk of serious disruption to the code development process. We therefore propose a gradual change in the computer based tools provided to the codes personnel along with the apointment of a systems manager (part time for the first 3 years) to maintain the database system and to support the codes personnel. During the final two years of the codes cycle the system manager should become full time and assume the additional role of document editor/coordinator for final p...

The fire scenarios were evaluated for use in future full-scale fire tests of unprotected floor assemblies in the Fire Performance of Houses facility.

Project changes and/or adjustments are inevitable as they are a fact-of-life at all stages of a project’s life cycle. Managing changes effectively is crucial to the success of a construction project. Change management in construction requires an integrated solution to discipline and coordinate the process, for example, documentation, drawing, process, flow, information, cost, schedule and personnel. The construction industrial needs an effective construction change management process. This paper summarizes various aspects of the existing construction change management processes and provides a comprehensive literature review as well as some comments on possible future directions.
