Secondary surveillance radar (SSR) performs one of the main functions of information service for ... more Secondary surveillance radar (SSR) performs one of the main functions of information service for consumers of the airspace control system. To improve the quality the SSR information is processed using modern information technology. The use of a consistent procedure for processing surveillance system data, due to the functionally completed stages of processing, made it possible to formalize the data processing procedure. However, this significantly limited, and in some cases excluded, the opportunities for inter-stage optimization of data processing. The SSR data processing structure synthesis and analysis are considered in this paper making it possible to perform a joint optimization of signal processing and primary processing of data, as well as to improve the quality of data processing.

It is also shown, that when synthesizing and analyzing the optimal structure of signal data processing in aircraft transponders of "friend or foe" identification systems, it is necessary to take into account the multichannel reception of request signals and limitations of relative throughput of the aircraft transponder, which is caused by the existing principle of constructing the system as single-channel queuing system with failures. The proposed models make it possible to implement the structures of data processing of request signals for situations of inter-channel merging of previous channel decisions on the detection of request signals or pulse components of the request signals. The work shows the method of interference immunity estimation of airborne secondary security rada... more The work shows the method of interference immunity estimation of airborne secondary security radar responders as open one-channel queuing systems with failures. It considers the presence of unintentional (intrasystem) and deliberate (correlated and uncorrected) interference in the request channel when servicing the request signals of imitating-stable mode and imitating-unstable mode. It is shown that the absence of spatial and temporal differences between the request signals and deliberate correlated interference leads to a significant decrease in interference immunity of aircraft responders and, as a result, to a decrease in the quality indicators of the querying identification systems in general.

The research included: the stage of filter synthesis according to its amplitude-frequency characteristic and order, analysis of the signal at the filter output for various types of the program code optimization. As a result of the research, practical recommendations were given for choosing a compiler and the level of optimization in devices containing digital filters.

The optimal structure for processing signal data and primary processing data of a multi-position ... more The optimal structure for processing signal data and primary processing data of a multi-position radar system is synthesized in this paper. In this work, due to the creation of an information base for storing signal data on the required number of scans of a multi-position radar system, it is possible to merge data both at the level of signal data and at the level of primary data processing. Each element of the last stores both signal data and indicators of the quality of their receipt. This made it possible to carry out inter-stage optimization of signal data processing and primary data processing.

It is revealed, that the party, interested in the existing system, has the ability of unauthorized use of this information resource for long-range determination of air objects coordinates, on the one hand, and distortion of information of this information resource, on the other hand, which leads to unpredictable consequences. It is shown, that the most vulnerable place in the "friend or foe" identification systems is the aircraft transponder, which significantly affects noise stability and noise immunity of the identification systems of air objects.
