It is especially common in population that consumes smokeless tobacco. Advanced stage at diagnosis is usual presentaion due to illiteracy, poverty and lack of primary health facilities. The study was aimed to optimize treatment of muscle invasive bladder cancer in poor resource country. Methods: A total of 65 patients were enrolled for the study. All patients had muscle invasive disease on transurethral resection. Patients were to in stage range from T2-3, N0 and M0 to be selected. The patients were planned for gemcitabine and cisplatinum (GC) every three weeks in a dose of 1000 mg/m² and 40 mg/m² on D1 and D8 of each cycle respectively. Ultrasonography was performed to assess for any bladder mass at this point. The patients with no visible tumor were planned for whole bladder external radiotherapy (ERT) along with weekly gemcitabine 100 mg/m². A total of 63 Gray (Gy) was planned wi...

Automatic traffic control system not only reduces the effort of human but also provides secure and accurate results. Here, the architecture of Agent-Based Autonomous Controller (ABAC) that manages vehicles at traffic signals intelligently was proposed. The proposed solution is followed by a vehicle counting by infrared (IR) sensor; providing solution for independent and mutual dependent signals for smooth traffic flow; emergency vehicles alert and priority over public vehicles through Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Finally, the proposed research was tested through simulation that reveals the performance over the previous traffic control and management architectures.

The humidity sensing properties of the thin films of an organic semiconductor material orange dye... more The humidity sensing properties of the thin films of an organic semiconductor material orange dye (OD) and its composite with CNTs deposited at high gravity conditions have been reported. Impedance, phase angle, capacitance and dissipation of the samples were measured at 1 kHz and room temperature conditions. The impedance decreases and capacitance increases with an increase in the humidity level. It was found that the sensitivity of the OD-based thin film samples deposited at high gravity condition is higher than the samples deposited at low gravity condition. The impedances and capacitance sensitivities of the of the samples deposited under high gravity condition are 6.1 times and 1.6 times higher than the films deposited under low gravity condition.

Similar investigations were also made on an unfilled polyurethane matrix for comparison. Moisture was found to increase the shear modulus at lower temperatures due to the formation of ice. At higher temperatures, however, shear modulus decreased due to the plasticizing effect of water. Moisture also modified the damping properties of the material.

Different kinds of knowledge are required: Marketing knowledge is needed to put a business in perspective and deliver business plans, Medical knowledge is needed to specify pathophysiological processes involved in the disease, Genetic knowledge is needed to identify biomarkers to stratify the patients, Biological knowledge is needed to identify pathways and molecular entities to specifically “target” by limiting unexpected adverse events; Chemical knowledge is needed to identify the appropriate scaffolds to exploit, Business Intelligence knowledge is required to put the competition in perspective, and many more knowledge types. The same variety of knowledge types are faced when one has the task of proposing new dimensions for a given compound. To reduce the time spend on each step here we propose a smart way to connect the dots and convert one platform’s information into a big poll of knowledge. The Semantic Media Wiki technology allows very flexible creation of knowledge bases and collaborative sharing of knowledge and it comes at no costs. The specialized wiki knowledge bases serve as an excellent source of information with mutual authorship and filtered data...The methodology we here describe is fully freely avail-able, easy to install and ready to use and we hope it will foster seamlessly sharing and combining scientific knowledge, with no licensing costs.
