Methods: Since December 2014 to January 2018, 530 patients of various anatomical sites were treated by VMAT technique at Neurospinal Cancer Care Institute (NCCI) Karachi Pakistan. ERGO++ planning system (Version 1.7.2) was used to develop VMAT plans with single or multiple arcs by the rotation of couch and gantry. The plans were evaluated by calculating Conformity Index (CI) and Homogeneity Index (HI) and critical organ (OARs) doses of individual tumor sites. Results: The average CI of various sites was 1.4 (range: 1.0–2.0) and average HI of various sites was 1.20 (range: 1.07–1.374), respective critical organ doses were adequately achieved. Conclusions: VMAT treatment planning technique showed good conformal and homogeneous target coverage with sparing of organs at risk and reduced treatment d...

Hope and mindfulness are independent variables and life satisfaction is the dependent variable. This is cross-sectional research and data was collected from 350 employees of an engineering company randomly. Simple linear and multiple regression analyses are performed for testing the hypotheses of the study. Results indicate that hope has a direct positive impact on life satisfaction and resilience respectively. Moreover, resilience is partially mediating the relationship of hope with life satisfaction. The current study considers only the employees of Mott MacDonald Group. Current research is a case study on Mott MacDonald Group, so cannot generalize the results on other types of industry and describes only a few predictors of life satisfaction. Future researches will also conduct on the same kind of engineering firm for generalization. In future researches, some ot...

Locomotor training (LT), the repetition of stepping-like patterning has shown beneficial effects for improving walking ability after motor incomplete SCI, but the potential impact of LT on psychosocial outcomes has not been wellestablished. The purpose of this study was to evaluate one year QOL, community participation and re-hospitalization outcomes between individuals who participated in a standardized LT program and those who received usual care (UC). Design/Setting/Participants A retrospective (nested case/control) analysis was completed using SCI Model Systems (SCIMS) data comparing one year post-injury outcomes between individuals with traumatic motor incomplete SCI who participated in standardized LT to those who received UC.

We evaluated the pre and post radiotherapy predictors of motor dysfunction recovery and on survival in MSCC patients with urologic malignancies. Material and methods: From July 2006 to April 2009, forty seven patients were treated for MSCC. Descriptive statistics (type of malignancy, performance status, age, sex, duration of symptoms prior to radiotherapy (RT), different fractionation of RT, and other sites of metastases) were evaluated. Further multivariate analysis (Cox-proportional hazard model/Bonferroni method) was performed and Kaplan Meier survival curves were obtained using SPSS version 17.0. Results: The actuarial survival rate of study population was 55% five months, 30% at 10 months and 5% at 15 months. According to histology, overall survival r...
