I am leaving New York for the west coast soon and am trying to sell all of my stuff and bringing only what I can fit into my car. Therefore, everything is OBO and I'm having a street sale tomorrow.

When:

Sunday, July 8, 2012 @ 11 AM until at least the mid-afternoon

Where:

N7 and Bedford in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, usually across from the subway (may change, so please check the CL ad for updates)

What:

I'm selling everything from furniture (coffee table, couch, table and chairs, queen-size memory foam mattress with bed frame, bookcases, desk...) to electronics (computer, TV, VHS/DVD player, microwave...) to clothes (shirts, pants, jackets...) and more (area rug, art, fondue set, postcard rack...).

The album's 24 tracks feature a wide range of textures and emotional states, from collaborations with the Gypsy band Romashka, the alt-indie-folk Tall Tall Trees, to cameos from the Hungarian cymbalom virtuoso Kálmán Balogh (playing a cue from Francis Ford Coppola's film "Youth Without Youth"), pipa player Wu Man, among many others, and of course featuring Ljova himself on viola, famiola and fiddle.

Kumquat Komedy is a stand-up show that currently takes place at Stonewall Inn. The show is gay, straight, bi, pan, curious, and totally into experimenting with its roommate. Mostly, it's a sexy, fun show that features hilarious comics.

The next show is Tuesday Dec 20th at 9pm and is completely free for anyone who RSVPs attending on the facebook page or in a reply to Kumquat's e-mail address

This month's line-up is a special all-Jewish one. Our "Festival of Laughs" will feature
Jeff Lawrence, Amy Beckerman, Hilary Schwartz, Max Cohen, Andy Kleiman, and Joelle Boucai. The whole shebang will be hosted by me, Jessica Lovelace-Chandler (resident shiksa).

Did I mention it's free? You don't even have to buy drinks, but obviously we'd love it if you did!

So lets see if we can get some life back into the community. The economy sucks right now and everyone is pinching pennies. So what do you do in the city for fun that won't break the bank? I'm a fan of public so I like to go walk along the High Line and enjoy the installations. On Friday there's also an open-air screening of Strangers on a Train that I might catch with some friends. Any other suggestions?

I'm a freelance graphic designer that lives in Manhattan and sometimes I have to meet new clients in person and they don't have an office. I was wondering, what restaurants/cafes do you know of that are good for meetings? I'm talking about places with a DECENT amount of table space (for 2 people) and not too loud either.

HEATHER M. ÁCS is a Brooklyn-based, multi-media theatre performance artist, activist, educator and high-femme troublemaker. Her gritty, glittery work has been featured in festivals, theatres, and galleries across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She performs and facilitates workshops at community spaces, colleges and conferences from coast to coast. Heather has worked with Justin Bond, Claude Michelle-Wampler, J. Ed Araiza of the SITI Company, and filmmaker, Steven Soderbergh. She is the Co-Producer of the Heels on Wheels Glitter Roadshow, a touring, performance-art cabaret of flashy, queer femme performers. She is also a dedicated teaching artist, using theatre as a tool for social change with low-income youth.
