your saving throw vs. urban life (original) (raw)

Hi all.

A week from today, over at Gallifrey5, we're starting our DS9 marathon (episode a day, with a week off between seasons), but there's only going to be two of us doing it, and we'd like a little company.

If anyone here fancies giving it a go, or some of it anyway, you'd be made more than welcome. Registration is necessary, but that only takes a minute and there's no strings attached!

We'd love to see you there.

One of the largest Harry Potter events ever, the Quidditch World Cup, is going on THIS WEEKEND. Randalls Island, NYC.

On Saturday and Sunday Nov 12-13, 100 Quidditch teams totally close to 2000 players from around the United States and the world will be competing. This is not just a day of sport either. Musical acts including some of your favorite Wizard Rock bands will be performing throughout the day both days. These are complimented by the incredible feats of the Sharkbite Sideshow, which includes fire eaters, sword swallowers, magicians, snake charmers, belly dancers and more! Live Owl demonstrations will also be on site!

Tickets are still available online and can also be purchased at the gates. You do not want to miss this event!

This is the cheapest this game has ever been on Amazon. I've been playing it non-stop for the past month. I wish I would have gotten it for this cheap.

All the pieces for my new desktop comp arrived today, and like an idiot, I totally didn't realize that my new SSD didn't come with a cable or brackets. And I was so hoping to put the whole thing together this weekend...

Anyone know where in the 5 boroughs I might be able to buy a SATA II cable and mounting brackets (for a tower, not a laptop) tomorrow, Saturday?

(This is going to be an internal drive, so I want a drive to motherboard cable, not a drive to USB.)

Usually I would just order online, but I'm leaving for a trip Tuesday morning so if I don't get to build tomorrow I won't be able to until I get back. I tried the BestBuy and PC Richards on 23rd St and both were a bust.

Hey guys!

Just thought you might be interested in this. My super talented and amazing friend Kelly just opened up an Etsy Shop where she sells Game Dolls. She hand makes them all from felt, crocheting, etc. (so far). You should all check her out. She just opened the shop so there will be more to come.

The Anachronism is a popular steampunk event held at Webster Hall in NYC; the most recent iteration was last weekend. The theme was Expedition to Candyland and featured a fashion show with designs by Kristin Costa. Psyche Corporation performed a couple times at the event in a shiny shiny candy corset outfit made by K.Costa herself. Here are some pictures!
