Your Critical Communications Partner
About us
Our clients protect communities, power cities, move citizens, harness resources and save lives all over the world. We work with them to create, support and unify the critical communication solutions they depend on to do their jobs. Digital wireless communication forms the central nervous system of everything we do. Around this resilient, robust core we design, develop, manufacture, test, deploy, support and manage innovative communication environments for organizations that have to put their total trust in the systems and people they work with. We’ve worked hard to develop genuine insight into our clients’ worlds, and have pursued engineering, operational and services excellence for more than 40 years. This understanding, and our belief in championing open-standards technology, means we can give our clients the best possible choice and value to achieve the human outcomes they’re driven by. We’re not simply aligned with our clients; we’re devoted to their cause. Tait Communications’ sole dividend receiving shareholder is a charitable trust which shares the company’s operating profits across several donation and investment streams responsible for research and development, regional reinvestment and education. This rare model means clients can rely on Tait Communications to be an independent long-term player in the critical communications industry and to continue to play its role of ‘open-standards champion’.

- On Wednesday Tait Communications and Tait Systems NZ helped launch the new Land Mobile Radio network – a new critical communications national radio network to support New Zealand’s emergency services personnel. For us, delivering this 500 site network and the hardware to use it, is about playing our part in the communities we call home. We have a long history of delivering for emergency services – including those in England, America, Brazil, South Africa and Australia. Being part of the New Zealand Government’s three-solution Public Safety Network means providing kiwi emergency services with the modern, resilient and secure radio technology they need to strengthen their critical communications and keep New Zealand communities safe. It also means creating one of the largest P25 multi-agency radio networks in the world. Read the full story here: https://bit.ly/4dDxpdx
- 𝟮𝟬𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 🚀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸! While our social media superstar Abigail Brown is taking a well-deserved break to, you know, casually run a marathon (because who doesn’t rest by running 42km?!). We couldn’t let this moment pass without giving a massive shoutout to Abbi for her outstanding contributions across all our Tait social media platforms. Abbi joined Tait just over a year ago and has since built our social media strategy from the ground up. But she didn’t just plan—she rolled up her sleeves and brought it to life! Her approach? Simple yet bold: defining the themes and uncovering meaningful stories that resonate most with our diverse customer base. She understands that B2B isn’t just "two buildings talking to each other" but people—like-minded professionals sharing insights and expertise that create real value in the industry. And it’s paying off. Over the past year, we’ve seen incredible growth in engagement with our customers, high-quality content, and impact. 🌟 So, here’s to our Emerging Marketer of the Year, Abigail Brown, for leading us to this achievement. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Tait community online, and to all 20K of you who engage, follow, and champion the Tait journey. We’re just getting started. 🎉 Abbi, good luck with the marathon 🏃♀️—beyond the finish line, there’s always another exciting challenge waiting for you to conquer #TaitTeam
- 🌟 It’s always busy in Brisbane! 🌟 This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our Asia-Pacific hub, where a diverse team of 35 employees powers up the region across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, and HR. It’s a dynamic office where collaboration thrives and creativity flows. 🌏 Fridays are a special highlight, with the entire team gathering for a shared curry lunch, that’s become a staple of the teams work culture. And keep an eye out for Con Costi, our Tait Channel Manager for Australia, as he calls this vibrant space his home base! 👀 Despite the sunny Brisbane weather tempting us outside, you’ll find our team impressing customers in this experience center, showcasing Tait’s tech in action. It’s not just an office; it’s a hub of innovation and a great place to be, where we get the job done with a smile and look good doing it. 🌞

Are you ready for this year’s bushfire season? Australian Bushfires create one of the most dangerous and hazardous firefighting environments in the world for our tremendous #PublicSafety agencies and Emergency Services Organisations (ESO’s). Tait Tough radios have been built to survive the punishment of such conditions and to provide the highly resilient critical communications capability to keep our fire fighters and communities safe. In a recent Critical Comms Review article, ARCIA - Australia's radio and critical communications Association highlighted their ongoing commitment to a comprehensive program promoting the critical communications industry and all its components - a goal they’re largely achieving. Pictured is Tait Communications’ newest TP9900 multiband, multiprotocol portable radio playing a key role in this vision by delivering the vital interstate and interagency critical communications, as our emergency services battle fires under extreme conditions during the Australian Summer. Our emergency services customers have inspired Tait to go beyond and do more by designing our #TaitTough radios to face such real-world challenges that will endure the harshest environments and more importantly keep our frontline heroes and communities safe. So how resilient is your #criticalcomms capability? For more details, on the TP9900 and The Critical Communications Review article check out the resources below: The Tait TP99: https://lnkd.in/gbibqb9EAustralian Radio Communications Industry Association Acknowledges New Phase in Critical Communications Industry: https://lnkd.in/g4bssfnd #TaitCommunications #TP9900 #interoperability #PublicSafety #CriticalCommunications #InterGovtAgency - The TP9900 is rolling out of the factory – this rugged radio is ready to tackle some of the toughest critical communications challenges – including P25 and DMR Interoperability! This is our most versatile portable yet, offering unmatched value for public safety – it is the clear choice for a P25 single band radio, with the capability to add multiband and multiprotocol DMR/P25 operation via software upgrade if needed in the future. Interoperability between P25 and DMR can significantly improve community safety outcomes with improved comms between first responders, schools, utilities and other public sector organizations. - For over six decades, Tait has been the trusted partner of public safety teams around the globe, delivering robust and reliable communication solutions. Starting from our humble beginnings in New Zealand, we've transformed from a local provider into an innovator in the world of critical communications. 📡 Pictured is one of our fundamental solutions: the T27, a VHF motorcycle radio designed by the old AM Tait company, ensuring New Zealand’s traffic officers stayed connected when it counted the most. 🚨
- Tait Solutions Sales Engineer Barry Deuart demonstrates the Bluetooth audio and Last Over Repeat capabilities (which allows you to replay recent calls without needing anyone to repeat themselves) of the TM9000 mobile radio. These capabilities are delivered by using the TU2000 option board, which also enables WiFi OTAP, and onboard voice recording of all voice traffic with meta data. Some TM9000 models can be used for DMR, others can be used for P25. Watch Barry’s demo to see the features enabled by the TU2000 option board in action! 🎥
