Brother Micro Disc (mid 1980s) | Museum of Obsolete Media (original) (raw)

The Brother Micro Disc was a floppy disc for use in the standalone Brother MD-200 Micro Floppy Disc Drive for use with certain Brother electronic typewriters (seemingly some of the EM series of the 1980s such as the EM-200) and possibly for use with industrial sewing or embroidery machines.

It consists of a 2.5-inch flexible disc in a carrier. The discs were available in either double-sided or single-sided form, and the cover of the disk leaves a large portion of the magnetic surface exposed when the disk is not in its paper envelope.

The Brother Micro Disc doesn’t appear to have been very common and is rare now.
