Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo (2003 - late 2010s) | Museum of Obsolete Media (original) (raw)

Sony Memory Stick Duo 64 MB and Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo 512 MB

The Memory Stick Duo was introduced in 2002 by Sony to meet the need for smaller memory cards for pocket digital cameras, mobile phones and the PlayStation Portable.

Just a year later, the Memory Stick PRO Duo, jointly developed by Sony and SanDisk Corporation, superseded the Memory Stick Duo due to that card’s 128 MB size limitation but used the same form factor as the Duo.

The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo, released in 2006, achieved three times the speed of the PRO Duo.

All Memory Stick PRO Duo versions seem to have disappeared from the Sony US website around 2016.
