Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, conventional methods of instruction had to be put on hold at the outset of the pandemic. In light of the recent COVID-19 epidemic in Asia, this research explores college students' perspective on online education using augmented reality software. Based on the idea of planned behavior, this research developed a conceptual model to investigate the attitudes and intentions of college students about the use of an augmented reality app for course-related e-learning. Information from 135 Asian college students was analyzed using structural equation modeling. Students' attitudes and a sense of agency over their own actions had the greatest impact on their propensity to embrace augmented reality applications for e-learning, whereas subjective norms had a very little role, as seen by the study's findings. These findings validate students' interest in and acceptance of cutting-edge education methods like augmented reality applications.

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a learner-centered approach to teaching English as a foreign language that emphasizes developing communicative proficiency in niche industries such agronomy, commerce, academia, accountancy, education, engineering, and information technology. This concept of "English-for-Teaching" as a restricted form of ESP for the classroom builds on the knowledge that instructors already have about teaching while also introducing and validating specific classroom terminology. When students interact and cooperate with one another, ESP practice emerges naturally in a language learning setting. Two major aspects that ESP highlights are the growth of dialogical interaction and the establishment of ecologically complete learning environments. In this essay, we create an ESP to aid students in the development of their critical thinking (CT) abilities in written output. We combine the Synergy model, Brain-based learning, and the Flipped Classroom models to create an ESP environment. Students CT abilities and academic success served as the studys criteria. The Course Satisfaction Questionnaire and placement exams were used to obtain the statistical data. Using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient (CAC) and Spearman correlation coefficient, the test on CT data was interpreted, and the combined data was examined using SPSS (V 26.0). By immersing students in problem-solving- based learning (PBL), this paradigm helps students develop their CT skills. It also helps students achieve academically by elevating their sense of accountability for learning outcomes and promoting the use of a variety of learning strategies.

Also, a sudden shift from paper bound reading activities to screen-based tasks was inevitable in response to COVID-19 outbreak. In this regard, the case of inferential and advanced level reading among the young ESL learners of developing countries appears researchable because of the general low digital literacy of these learners. This study, therefore, aimed to investigate the effect of reading mode shift from paper to screen on the inferential comprehension performance among Pakistani ESL learners at university level. A total of 426 undergraduate learners were sampled from Bachelor of Science program in a well-known university in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. Inferential reading was conceptualized through Bloom's higher order thinking skills, that is, Analyzing, Evaluating and Creating skills therefore the reading comprehension test was based on these skills. Adopting sequential test administration, first the paper-based reading test, and later the screenbased reading was given. The obtained data were analyzed using Rendell's XCALIBRE and SPSS V. 26.0. The logit scale descriptives, learner ability (θ), and mean scores demonstrated that the learners performed significantly higher in the paper test as compared to screen test. Moreover, it was found that the effect of reading mode shift was larger in Creating skill. The findings may have significant implications for reading mode selection, enhancement of digital competence and effect of reading mode shift in developing countries with inadequate IT facilitation and digital literacy among ESL learners.

How information can be found and exchanged, as well as how explanations are delivered, have been shaped by technology. The outcomes demonstrate that mobile learning (m-learning) has enhanced collaboration among instructors and learners, provided immediate feedback, increased student participation and engagement, allowed for authentic learning and evaluation, and supported learning communities in higher education institutions. There was also a change in the teachers' instructional methods. Students will benefit from simple learning activities, convenient communication, and coaching provided through mobile devices. This study recommends using a learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) technique to improve students' English-speaking fluency. In addition, communication between teachers and children in remote areas becomes easier through an interactive system, making both sides more accessible. As a result, it is advisable that educational institutions continually develop innovative teaching techniques that bridge face-to-face and formal-informal learning in the educational setting. The article discusses the background of mobile learning and how it might enhance e-learning as a whole. The m-learning approach is described in this paper as a future version of e-learning. In comparison to the next generation of educational systems, it will be extensively offered and simple to operate for any individual interested in learning. The article also discusses the benefits and potential drawbacks of mobile learning in current educational institutions.

For, such enterprise has provided the pretext for the concepts of 'Self' and 'Other' followed by occupation, a reign of violence and terror loosened upon the natives. This paper aims to study Red Birds (2018) a novel by Mohammed Hanif to highlight the plight of the 'Other' with their aggressive vitality and fervor of resistance to counter the imperialist agenda-hegemony. As qualitative research, it employs the postcolonial method, while seeking theoretical insights from the arguments of Orientalism by Edward Said, and the theory of hegemony by Antonio Gramsci to be interpretive in nature to analyze the text. It explores how the text, gleaned selectively from the novel offered, like Orientalism a fabric of textual analyses that is highly critical of the Eurocentric notions and hegemony of the Western world. It underlines the ways and practices sketched by the novel through the troubling encounter of the characters from the East to the West to offer a subversive narrative to the failure of the efforts and narratives of the West. For better analyses of the text to underline the American neo-imperialism and the native dreams of subversion, it takes to the tone of Gramscian precepts to conclude that the powerful subjugates through hegemony-the geo-political method used to

This change brought by technology also brought along new internet-based terms such as "new economy," "e-commerce, "information systems," "digital marketing," "FinTech accounting," "e-business, "e-state, etc. People and institutions change and economically develop themselves in order to increase their productivity and competitive power. Today, the backbone of the Internet is still growing rapidly on a regular basis, and the number of Internet users is rapidly increasing with regard to the dramatic changes that continue to happen within technology. The key element here is the term "adaptive," which includes the features of the Internet and expresses the open access to technical standards and changing opinions. By means of all these developments, the Internet’s area of usage is increasing worldwide day by day. The rapid increase in Internet usage carries shopping to different places. E-commerce provides increased visibility and sales by letting everyone that’s looking for your products online find you. Even when you’re targeting a niche audience, you’re guaranteed to expand beyond your shop’s physical area. And since shoppers don’t have to make it to your shop to browse your products, you’ll be gaining loyal customers across the country. Shoppers a hundred miles away will be browsing your products from the comfort of their own beds. This brings us to what, for most consumers, is the best part of e-commerce. Nowadays, the formula for business success is simple: drive innovation with information technology. So, the first thing start-ups in any industry try to figure out is how to make smart IT recruiting choices. Without the backbone of information technology, a business is not going to go far.

Corrective feedback is essential because of how well it improves students' English language skills. The connection between language learners' and teachers' views on the forms, methods, and timing of corrective feedback has not yet received the attention it deserves from educational researchers. Examining the perspectives of both teachers and students in higher education, this study seeks to better understand the effects of constructive criticism. Quantitative and qualitative approaches were used by using a survey questionnaire the researcher designed and conducted interviews. The surveys were completed by the students by Google form and to participate in follow-up interviews with Microsoft representatives. Three hundred fifty law school sophomores took part in the multi-method study. The data from the surveys, the students' follow-up interviews, and the discussion with 10 ESL instructors. The findings demonstrated that both educators and students valued the use of remedial feedback delivered verbally to improve English language skills. Metalinguistic feedback, immediate feedback on grammatical and lexical mistakes, and explicit correction and recast were all highlighted by the authors as effective treatments for phonological problems. Teachers thought that students were not negatively affected by timely correction, but they did see that students preferred delayed corrective input. From a pedagogically relevant stance, these results have consequences for language teachers and students alike.

The PLC provides a new way of research, where you can easily access researchable data for educators, students and researchers in Pakistani regional languages.
The PLC software tool is fast and efficient and offers researchers a wide range of multilayer access to analyze word frequencies, collocates, keywords, grammatical/lexical labeling, statistical figures, semantic, speech input, as well as many other features. Researchers can easily carry out samples of research through statistical data analysis, as opposed to relying on questionnaires.
It is hoped that PLC will soon become an open source corpus tool and helps in the further development of Pakistani languages, with its features being modified and simplified for the end-user. The development of corpora of spoken languages data is a complex task and it requires careful planning during transcription. PLC is providing new ways of research and a new perspective on corpus tools that will lead to further growth in the field of computational linguistics and corpus linguistics. A real world example of such tool, software and web is developing for the current and future generations.

An important question is whether there has been significant influence from immigrants and/or other varieties of English on how British salutations are used, and, if so, how this is realised. We approach the analysis by evaluating how salutations have evolved and are evolving in appropriateness in spoken and written contexts. A finding from the data is that polite salutations appear to be becoming more generalized, i.e. more neutral. This paper draws on data from contemporary English in social, academic and YouTube texts, in both in formal and informal spoken and written contexts, as well as from the last few decades, exploring social, cultural and pragmatic meanings of salutations, with attention given to academic, social and stylistic uses such as when addressing strangers or the humorously ironic.
Key words: Salutations, English language, academic, social, pragmatics, language change

Urdu is the national language and English is not the official language anymore. The only education language in most provinces is Urdu. However, most minority language speaker is discriminated and non Urdu languages are a sign of stigma and poverty. Language policy makers in Pakistan are recommended to mind the following points to improve communication among Pakistanis so as to lead them to respect each other’s language and culture. Medium of instruction in educational setting must be mother language, all small indigenous languages should have orthography and endangered languages must be revitalized. Intercultural communication can be improved by help of media and encouraging and motivating people to learn other provincial languages. Overall, mutual intelligibility should be encouraged and enhanced in order to introduce different cultures to people. Television and Radio have crucial role in bringing people in friendship from of different cultures closer by producing movies in different languages and having music national channels songs in regional languages. People should be aware that then can communicate by their own languages else Urdu and English because some languages in Pakistan derived from same language family.

If Panini's works are indeed dependency-based as claimed, then that can indeed be construed as strongly supporting the DG approach to natural language syntax, precisely because Panini's works are the first known attempts (world wide) at a grammar of natural language. This manuscript explores the extent to which Paninian grammar can indeed be viewed as a DG. Paninian grammar is investigated with respect to three core aspects of dependency-based approaches to syntax: 1) the absence of the initial binary division of the clause into a subject and a predicate, this division being at the core of most phrase structure grammars and thus qualifying as the anti-thesis of Tesniere's verb centrality; 2) the extent to which the syntactic functions (also known as the grammatical relations) are primitive in the theory, as opposed to being derived from the configuration, and 3) the extent to which words are acknowledged and viewed as being directly or indirectly dependent on each other, for instance in terms of heads and dependents. The exploration of these three areas reveals that Paninian grammar does indeed have much more in common with dependency-based syntax than with constituency-based syntax. The DG claims to the Paninian tradition are warranted.
