**My Art Site ~shyly emerging from my humble hole~Hi Everyone!Herewith I invite all you Sam-and-Frodo-lovers to come and visit my art site, Solarfall's Realm. It has recently been redesigned (framed) and now contains all my original artwork on Sam's and Frodo's wonderful friendship, both Tolkien book-illustrations as well as slash-interpretations (you'll perhaps have to do a little searching to find it, but it's all there - at the end of my Book Illustrations page, there's a link - and an appropriate warning ;-). There's also an abundancy of (art) links as well as some essays for you to enjoy. Moreover, I have also included the lovely artwork of two other great Tolkien-inspired illustrators in my Guest department:- Dagmar Jung, who - besides Frodo and Gollum and others - has done beautiful interpretations of Gimli and Legolas' friendship;-  graewolf, who offers both wonderful LotR- as well as portrait art from various fandoms. Samwise in Love Hello, all. :-) Long time writer, first-time fanfic writer here. I have started a very long WIP called Samwise in Love. It is a story line I have been working on for a very long time, but have only recently realized that Sam and Frodo are the ideal pair of characters for me to share the story with the world. I've written the first three parts, available in a journal I created just for this fic, so if you like it you can friend it, and then you'll automatically get updates as they are available.All I ask is that you comment if you are reading. Hobbit fanfic awards Latest reports coming in regarding ROTK are unanimous in stating that it makes everyone (including Elijah Wood, who should have been prepared) sob convulsively for at least the last hour, and for approximately two days afterward. Therefore it is especially good that we have the tongue-in-cheek Golden Mushroom Awards to cheer us up. These are hosted at shadowfax8's hobbit-based fanfic archive site, West of the Moon, and are open to gen and slash fiction alike, as long as they're hobbitcentric. Some of my favorite categories:Best Drama QueenBest Abuse of a Controlled Substance — "Pippin, where DID you get these mushrooms!?"Most Inappropriate Use of Human/Elf/DwarfBest 'Who gave YOU a weapon?' — some hobbits are just not meant to handle pointy things (Please nominate fics where one or more hobbits are injured or manage to injure each other with weaponry intended to be used on the enemy.)Best Rape of the Elvish LanguageBest Vacation from CanonBest Stress Test on Non-Bedroom Furniture — you're gonna WIPE that table after you're done, right?Best Chick!Frodo — does Frodo buy his lavender water from Crabtree & Evelyn?The Tie-Me-Up Tie-Me-Down Award — excellence in light hobbit bondage(And a few others I daren't copy and paste here.
