Bonswa (feat. Célia Wa)

Inspired by the song "Bonsoir mes frères" by Erik Cosaque et les Voltages,

Bonswa pays homage to this classic with a powerful and evocative house track. The dazzling Célia Wa contributes her voice by singing "bonswa mes sè," creating a dynamic between brotherhood and sisterhood. The striking conclusion, "en vérité nou vini palé pwoblem a peyi la," grounds the track in a strong social reality. With its round bass, Ka rhythm loop, and synthetic chords, the track blends Afrohouse with the signature sounds of Detroit, delivering an irresistible vibe.

An Sé Neg Gwadloup

This track begins with the emblematic poem by Guy Cornély, reaffirming Guadeloupean identity and pride. Synthesizers and piano harmoniously blend with a deep bass and a hypnotic percussive loop, sampling the padjanbel rhythm played by the gwoka masters, Vélo and Arthème Boisbant in 1969. An Sé Neg Gwadloup is an ode to memory and cultural resistance.

Yo Pé Kozé

Powerful and assertive, Yo Pé Kozé speaks to resilience in the face of criticism and judgment. The first part of the track asserts that the oppressor’s words do not affect us, while the second part flips the situation, illustrating the backlash faced by the detractors. It’s an anthem to inner strength and determination, carried by a rich and energetic production.

Dé Gout Dlo

Inspired by the song "Yo" by Marie Line Dahomay and Kalinda Ka, Dé Gout Dlo is an evocation of the mysterious divinity Yo, a symbol of hope and memory. The track transcends time and beliefs, offering deep meditation through ethereal sound textures and mesmerizing rhythms. It’s an invitation to reflection and spiritual connection.

L’incomparable Célia Wa apporte sa voix en chantant "bonswa mes sè", créant une dynamique fraternelle et féminine. La conclusion percutante "en vérité nou vini palé pwoblem a peyi la" ancre le morceau dans une réalité sociale forte. Avec sa basse ronde, sa boucle de rythme Ka et ses accords synthétiques, le morceau mêle l'afrohouse aux sonorités caractéristiques de Détroit, offrant une vibe irrésistible.
