As we all know, each Jedi or Sith has a different sort of talent, a field that they excel in. For instance, icon!Ani excels at pelvic thrusty dances.

So please comment below with your Jedi character's actual skills. I'll start.

So essentially the minimum of what I'm looking for is like... the top two skills your Jedi character excels in. This will help the councilchambers in selecting the Jedi who will be going on missions, and will be a good reference.

It's snowing.

SO! In the effort of spicing up the RP, I've spent the last 8 hours thinking about ways to add interest and I'd like some feedback.

Ideas:
-I plan on using holonet_news more to inform the gathered populous of the news.
-There will be more posts from ancient_enemy regarding the movements of the Sith.
-There will be messages from the High Council, assigning your characters to missions and such.
-There will be new dangers from various sources, detailed in messages from the Council or news articles.
-Guess what? FEAR OF DEATH. There will be a chance of death on missions. I'm probably going to do a random roll or something. It'll be a very very slim chance and you can probably get out of it, but that chance is there.

What do you think?

And I need to ask something of you! Please submit some plot ideas below. I have a big long list here on my yellow legal paper of plot ideas, but I would like some other suggestions. Comments are screened, so go wild with the ideas. Submit heaps of them. Please!

So, just a quick heads up.

After decades of awesome mod-ing and totally cool community building (that sounds very office-y), Megan passed on moderation of our beloved OMG_LS to me. I'd like to do some cleaning up of the userinfo and so on. So here's a brief list of changes I've made right now (very minor changes) and things I'd like to implement.

-I've taken a few characters out of the userinfo.

-I'd like to make an adoption list of existing journals from character's we've dropped.
-I'd like to resume the weekly summaries (this week: nothing happened)
-I'd like to enforce the at least once every two weeks posting thing (even though I'm just as guilty as everyone else. Heh.)

So, what I'd like from you guys (those of you who still read/post/update/etc) is:
1. A list of character journals for characters you have given up. I don't need the password, just the journal name.
2. A 'shout out' from those of you who are still interested in reading/posting/updating/etc.

Hullo there, this is Becca reporting.

I've decided that to replace the angsty boy shaped void left by Ani, I'm taking on a similar character (yet not THE MAIN CHARACTER IN A SIX MOVIE SAGA WHO HAS TO BE RIGHT OR ELSE and therefore frustrating type).

Here is Drake Lo'gaan (which is the MOST Gary Stu name I've EVER HEARD and it amuses me) who is an emo punk at the moment.

He has just returned from an extended mission offworld, is tall, scrawny, and rarely behaves himself by dressing in robes.

Friend him, so that he may irritate the hell out of your characters with his constant insistence that his soul is the essense of thorns and his heart bleeds rosepetals.

Edit: He is turning 17 on the 15th of Dec, and is IC.

I'm putting Depa up for adoption. I don't play her very much as it is and fail at coming up with plots for her sooooo just seems like the thing to do. I know some of you have oodles of characters that also aren't played very much but I feel bad not paying as much attention to her as to my other two. I guess I'm just weird like that.

I'm going to say she's off on an extended mission in the Outer Rim somewhere. If someone wants to take over her character, you could have any number of things happen to change her personality or whatever when she comes back if desired. And if no one takes her over and you guys want her for something plotty, I could NPC her if you want me to.

So because I have nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon but trawl through the intarwebz (well, actually, technically I do have something better, my Poli Sci paper, but ... *whistles innocently*), I happened to run across The Doll Factory, a beautiful site purveying dolls from all fandoms. Regrettably, female only.

So my typist wanted a twinky gay character after watching a bunch of Queer as Folk, so she decided to create me to whore it up around here.

Soooo I'm leaving tomorrow (in case you hadn't figured that out yet). I definitely won't be around tomorrow and Saturday (my aunt and uncle only have dial-up, boo), and probably not much for the rest of the week, depending on

whether or not I get to hijack the internet when we aren't doing stuff

what we're doing (and how well I adjust to the time difference - speaking of which, I need to figure out how to set the time on my watch). I'll be back on a regular schedule late in the evening on the 21st. (And then I get to take more classes. *sigh* Can I graduate yet?)

Anyway, you can generally assume that my characters are doing mysterious character-y stuff...or just sexing up their significant others all the time, one of the two. (Probably the latter.)

So why have I not been around lately? Well, basically, school has eaten my brain, both literally and figuratively. So has computer crap -- I had to switch laptops due to the old one finally dying on me, so that kept me out of action for a number of days. I hesitate to use those as excuses but, them's the facts. But I'm back now, hopefully for the long term.

Here's what my characters have been up to (and I will be making them all post this afternoon, I have told myself that I am not allowed to look on FF.net or write fanfic until that's done *snicker*):

IC!Mon: Mon had quite a shock at Aoife's birthday party, what with Lily appearing suddenly and unexpectedly like that

but damn it made for good plottage

. She's still trying to recover from that. Also, she's finally decided to stop being so secretive about her sexual orientation.

OOC!Padme: Is her usual spacey self. She does come down off her cloud somewhat more often to mingle with mere mortals, however. She's decided, for better or worse, to pursue her friendship/relationship/whatevership with her!Ani, but she's also willing to branch out if anyone (male and female alike) is interested.

OOC!Aayla: *is busy smoking poppies* *missed the Council meeting because of said smoking* *smoke smoke smoke* 'M sorry ... were you talking?

*still wants to have a non-strikeout threesome with Mon and Quin*

OOC!Yaddle: She's busy in the archives as usual. And busy adding to her collection of leather pants and show tunes.

OOC!Bail: *got his ear pierced the other day* *wants to show it off to Obi*

As you saw in the other post I just made, my computer is getting sent off for repairs.

In my absense, my characters are doing the following.

IC!Obi: *gets called off suddenly on a mission somewhere filled with Seperatist activity* *shares a tearful and seckztastic goodbye with Qui and is off doing that*

IC!Ani: *is probably there too* *yay dynamic duo*

OOC!Adi: *continues being a milf and tempting Qui in all sorts of soft womanly and completely unintentional ways* *probably heads over to chat Stass up so she can get ALL kinds of birth control for when she's allowed sex again* *has a calendar and is counting the days*

OOC!Qui: Spends most of his time on Coruscant, doing... things. Nobody at the temple knows what the hell he's doing all the time, but that's what he's doing. (they probably should find out, though.)

IC!Liam: Yes, wii little Liam is IC. He spends his time being a youngling. Classes,

dancing lessons

calisthenics, and playing with friends. He probably hangs out around Ani and Aoife a lot, given that Ani has lizards and Aoife's cute.

Alain: Plays shows, sexes up people, sexes up more people, has creative sexin happening... Woo.

Soooooo we'll see how long it'll take to get my computer-love back.

I'll probably make it on during work now and then. Mostly to finish/continue current threads, though.

So, I've (Amber) decided to play Pinky.

Yes, he's a barely-named EU character that maybe is in one comic (and the Swedes say he's Obi-Wan anyway, but I'm going with the English version that doesn't) but he sort of is mysterious and that's kind of fun. I'm still developing him a bit but I have a pretty good idea how I want to play him. So...yay!

So, um, hi. I'm Jyl. My typist totally decided (with a bit of egging on from other people) that you all needed mental help...and here I am! Though I'm not an actual healer...that's a minor detail. I've been studying all sorts of interesting things in my spare time, and I'm ready to dig in and get some practical experience. I do therapy of all sorts - including relationship counseling.

But not sexual therapy, you perverts. I believe that's more Master Jinn's area of expertise, anyway.

This journal is omg_lightsaber's news journal. Let me(Amber) explain.

This journal is like omglsnpc in that it's a journal anyone can use. It will be used mostly as a plot device in that anyone can randomly post a news article or a gossip column or whatever about another character. For example, someone-anyone-(let's just say Wendy did for the hell of it) could post something like this:

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn was spotted last weekend canoodling with Jedi Babe Aayla Secura in the exclusive Skysitter Restaurant. The two were reported to have had nothing but champagne and caviar and eyewitnesses claim that Secura disappeared under the table for quite some time while Jinn looked rather flushed. Jinn has been romantically linked to several other Jedi, most notably his former Padawan, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi but also Jedi Master Mace Windu, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and a pregnant Jedi Master Adi Gallia. Secura was last photographed sharing a meal with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker at a bar in the lower levels. Neither could be reached for comments.

So that's what might be posted. Then the characters mentioned (or their significant others or whatever) could act accordingly. It doesn't necessarily have to be about your own characters. After all, the above article was to have been posted by Wendy but her characters wouldn't be involved. Well, that is unless D! wanted to know about Ani being mentioned. Or whatever. See, plottage! Weee!

And I mean, let's face it. With the amount of public sex that goes on in game, someone's bound to be caught sometime.

It could also be used for actual non-gossipy news like missions that go well (or horribly wrong), protests against the war, political campaigns. Whatever.

Anyway, that was my idea. If it doesn't work...screw it. ^_^

The password for this journal is the same as the NPC journal.

So everyone please add holonet_news to their friends list.

ETA: Wendy brought this up. If the news is going to be...earth-shatteringly devastating to the other character...or even if it's questionable whether the person playing the character it's about might not like it, they should probably get permission with that character's typist first. But also, as it is the news and people do ignore the news, if something is posted about your character that your character doesn't want to address, you can just have them ignore it. But yes, if you're in question about whether a typist would go for the article thing, ask them first.

So yeah, I, (elledwen/Amber), am taking over IC!Padme. I've been itching to have a politician for ages and so...why not Padme, since she's free. Woo!. Do not ask how many characters I have now. It's far too many. Although Stass is only 1/4 character...and Bardan, DP, and Olee are more like 1/2 characters. Anyway, yeah, the end.

Here's what my characters are up to:

notfromajedi: Working at the Senate, conducting SuperSekritSithly business, going to the Dark Side (bar), convincing Grievous to take a night off and go clubbing with him like the good old days.

depagonedarkish: Totally went on a mission, somewhere... cuz that's what she does. She's good at field work

and she likes having more freedom to get high

, I just fail at coming up with plausible missions for her to go on. But yeah, she went offworld somewhere.

padawan_aoife: Classes, training, etc. Probably spending time with Ani. I dunno.

If any of them are needed for stuff, let me know.

Hi everyone! I'm Alice/senatorsfan and I will be playing IC!Mon Mothma, known as chandrilalily here on LJ. I've done a bit of RPing before, mostly of the D&D (*ducks*) variety. However I also maintain an independent RPing journal on here and do some casual stuff with my friends. I'm not the most experienced RPer on earth, but I'm willing to learn as I go and most importantly, have FUN!

And Mon? Well, being an IC! character she is obviously somewhat reserved, but as it's me playing her (the half-arsed slightly insane university student), she may occasionally venture OOC! from time to time. I'll try to keep that stuff to a minimum, I promise. Or will I? *winks*

It is I, eaglecrash. Yay! Whatever. Anyway, I've taken on the character I've wanted to play from the beginning, so there you are.

My IC Palpatine will be quite a bit more approachable than our previous one, so feel free to interact with him. He has realized he's the one who's not in the right universe, and he's quite lost. He may be prone to fits of madness, eventually, but not the sort of madness we know and love from Wendy's Palpy. Oddly enough, he's actually a little... sad. And that makes him angry.

So I've decided to take another character. We're losing all our Padawans. Nooo! Padawans are happiness! Anyway, I decided NOT to go with the overly pretty PB, Megan cause my inner-Ani was bulking and feeling insecure. He still feels insecure about this PB but my inner-Qui is kicking him into submission for this one.

Hey everyone! Wendy here. I fell in love with the NPC I've been playing for the past couple weeks, and Megan was SOOOOO KIND AND WONDERFUL and graciously allowed me to make a journal for her ^_^

Megan was tired when I bugged her about it, but I think Aoife is meant to be a trial character, or a part-time character, or just in some way has less status than the other characters.

I've already warned my inner Palpy away from her. He got all offended at me.
