WELCOME to One Line Creative.

A good writer makes the mind imagine. A great writer makes the mind believe.

Community Purpose:

This is a community meant to draw out and challenge your creativity. It will challenge those who already write, and inspire those who are just beginning. It was inspired by the game created by autumn_sea in her own journal and carried forward here.

Rules, etc.

Every Monday, a moderator will post a one line challenge. You may use this line in any form you'd like: poetry, prose, essays, anything.

Please put anything lengthy behind an lj-cut.

You may post as many pieces as you'd like, until the new one line challenge begins. Once the new challenge begins, the old one is finished.

The line must be in bold text so it's easy to see. You may use the line as many times as you'd like, but at least one instance must include the entire line without altering it in any way.

Every Thursday, a word will be posted. The same rules apply to this as do to the one line challenge.

You do not have to enter every challenge, but we encourage as many entries as possible as well as comments on others' entries.

We will not tolerate rudeness. Constructive criticism is fine, but it must be just that -- CONSTRUCTIVE. If you have nothing nice or helpful to say, don't comment.

Any comments, questions, concerns, etc. can be directed to any of the moderators.
