Install openziti (original) (raw)
November 26, 2025, 5:56pm 1
Hello, my name is Rafael, I'm Brazilian and I'm not fluent in English, so I apologize, as it's translated.
I learned about OpenZiti and would like to implement it, but I'm having a lot of difficulty setting up the environment. I would appreciate some help, even though I haven't been able to find anything in the forums.
I'm following the documentation, but the web console isn't available.
I'm virtualizing a VM with Hyper-V and running everything locally to learn about the tool.
quando consigo instalar fico preso nessa tela.
Hi Raphael, I had some difficulty installing as well, after some help I’ve put together a simplified installation guide:
zac interception acts funny for me, so I applied the workaround here: Invalid session for only zac, other services work - #7 by ZerotrustExplorer
Hi @rlsoares86, welcome to the community and to OpenZiti!
When the ZAC is run on its own, not from the controller, the SPA needs to be setup with a set of whitelisted controllers it's allowed to connect to. Before you start the ZAC, you need to set and environment variable: ZAC_CONTROLLER_URLS and whitelist your controller for that ZAC instance to connect to. So set the environment variable and then start the ZAC. Hopefully that helps.
Thanks to @ZerotrustExplorer for giving you a pointer to a different thread that might help.

Zero Trust Explorer, thank you for your support.
I will try to set up my test environment using your tutorial/script.
Thanks, I'll try it as my friend ZerotrustExplorer suggested.
