Noviomagus This new community was called to life to ressurect the Dutch Vampyre scene. After some conversation with Father Sebastian we decided to rename the Halo to Noviomagus, a more fitting name. The Vampire Survey is now online! The wait is finally over - the online version is now available! Please spread the word near and far.www.vampiresurvey.comThe Vampire & Energy Work Research Survey is complete and now available in either online or printed form at www.vampiresurvey.com. If you are restricted in the amount of time you have online or prefer not filling out forms that must be submitted via e-mail, the option of requesting a hard copy may better serve you. If you'd like to receive a personal copy or require multiple copies (please provide us with an affiliation for requests over 2) for either your House or local community please send your postal mailing information to:request@vampiresurvey.comThe final release comprises 379 questions, covering 11 primary categories, and spans 74 pages. We realize this survey is lengthy, and that it calls for a serious investment of time and thought. Over four months of development and 80+ hours of editing and review have gone into the writing of the survey. We have done our best to put together questions which, when answered by members of the community, will help provide answers to questions that vampires have been asking for years, and will allow our community to be understood better by others. This is a rare chance for those who are willing to put forth the effort to benefit the entire community. Keeping in mind the scope of this project, please do not request a copy if you feel you are not up to the task. To maintain the integrity of the data, we need as many surveys to be returned to us as possible. This is an effort by the community and for the community - no loyalty of affiliation, bias, or preferential consideration is tak! en into account in the pursuance of this community study. The results of the survey will be published in late 2006 or early 2007 as an expansive academic study. (Comment on this) |

Hello all, I know I have not posted in god knows how long, however here is something I think some of you would be interested in checking out.All the best.Father SebastianHOUSE SAHJAZA PRESNETS…The University VampyricusWeb: http://www.house-sahjaza.org E-mail: universityvampyricus@house-sahjaza.org University Vampyricus (U.V.) is series of seminars and discussion circles known as “kulls” presented by members of House Sahjaza to share and exchange information on the collection of teachings, traditions and philosophies of the occult and vampyre communities.Starting Tuesday June 7th, 2005 the University Vampyricus will take place at Otto’s Shrunken Head from 8pm-10pm. Otto's is located at 538 E. 14th St. between Avenues A and B. You can take each kull individually or be involved in our entire summer program and earn a “I have been kulled certificate”. For each kull we ask for a donation of $5 so we can cover our teaching supplies and that you obtain at least one beverage (alcohol or otherwise) from the venue as a tribute to support our cause. We have a private space with closed doors for the duration of each kull. All individuals must be at least 21 years of age or older with ID. Kulls begin promptly at 8:15pm and runs until 10pm. All are welcome to join us for Father Vincent Omega's new Black Cat noir haven after the kull.All kulls are lead by adepts (Calmae), magisters of House Sahjaza and our abbon (allies). We have guest speakers when available on specific topics. At the end of each month we will be inviting members to ritual groups to perform at the Black Invokation noir haven. The following is our summer 05 curriculum:June 7th – Vamp 101 a basic introduction and overview of the vampyre subculture, traditions and philosophies from the perspective of House Sahjaza. Members of all households, orders, courts, families and the casually curious are welcome to join us. Going on Sabbatical for a project Hello all,I will be going on sabbatical from the scene this winter as I just have been given a job opportunity consulting for a vamp film in Asia, I do not know when I will be back as this is a unique project and opportunity I do not want to pass on. More details will be released as I cannot get into much of it. My online proxy Girotto Mithu (girotto@strigoivii.com or girottomithu@aol.com ) will be handling everything in my leave from online and Lestat handling my affairs in NYC (parties, books etc.). So if you see my screen names online it will most likely be Girotto.The Sanguinomicon (V book III: Liber Calmae) project is nearing completion and should be released this February at the Long Black Veil at Club Rare on Feb. 11th, I am not sure I am going to be there in person, however there will be plenty of copies available for purchase for everyone.I wish everyone a happy Holiday season far in advance! Secrets revealed! Ave brothers, sisters, abbon, black swans and friends,I am VERY excited about returning to NYC, this weekend coming up is going to be absolutely a big turn of events as many of the big players in the future Sanguinarium are coming together. This weekend Michelle Belanger and many Kheprians, Shishan from Quinotaur, many OSV members, Larae from Darkness Embraced, Madame X of the Dreaming, Brian Ward, Master Steelow, Don Henrie from Mad Mad House, Christian Blood & the lovely Regent Magdalena from Lazarus (for the Pax Vampyri Awards), Father Vincent of House Sabretooth Omega, etc., etc. will ALL be in NYC at LBV! This is most likely the last time this event happens for some years and is the place where the first and most recognized code of conduct for the scene began. The best part is I know many of these people will be involved with or attending Endless Night 2004, so if you miss them this weekend we will see you down in the BIG EASY over Halloween!First and formost I would like to personally congradulate our new community spokesperson and "posterboy" Don Henrie in from San Diego (where I was born in the same room as this absolutely fantastic gent!). Many people are seeing a Hollywood verson of him, even I noticed that! Many people are shitting on him but he has the balls to go on TV and as contriversial as he is, it is a BIG step in the right direction. Even CSI (crime scene investigation)took place and they used many terms from the Strigoi Vii Lexicon (found in the V special edition). Everyone may not agree with it but I assure you it will in the long run be a big help.This weekend will start withFriday April 16th with Long Black Veil at Club Rare with a prelude discussion circle, presentation and think tank at Dom Sub Friends hosted by myself, Michelle Belanger and of course the lovely matriarch of the House of the Dreaming Madame X. This night will also see the kickoff of Clandestine / Black Gotham, the new noir haven by Master Steelow!
