Hi guys and girls, as you must already take for granted (which is good!) is our freedom to love. Right now our rights are being stolen away, little by little, and our lifestyles are under the attack. Please read this and use your young and energetic minds to do and think of ways to combat this evil so that we can all enjoy what we love. I got his e-mail, it's extremely important! Good. Check out my friend playing with the Cocker Spaniels at the Tiny Tavern at 8p. Led by Sean Padilla, they are catchy, quirky and fun. Can someone lead me in the right direction?I plan on moving to Oregon sometime this year, and would like to know a few things. I work in the vet field, and would like to know of good veterinary hospitals I can apply to. Websites, or general info are appreciated. Also: Good community colleges/universities that offer great biology and zoology programs. I am going to apply for a job, and hopefully get on before I make the move. There's a large possibility I may be moving to Brookings.I'm from a growing city in Southern California and I've been told that Brookings is more of a small beach town with a lot of older people.One, it that true?; and two, where is the nearest shopping/city area?I kind of dread asking this question because it sounds so dumb and kind of superficial, but where is the nearest mall? Most random harebrained idea ever:My friend and I would like to road trip to Salt Lake City to see Leathermouth play. The actual concert is about 15andisallages.Wefiguredthegascostandit′llbearound15 and is all ages. We figured the gas cost and it'll be around 15andisallages.Wefiguredthegascostandit′llbearound230. We really can't afford that so we decided to see if any Oregon fans would wanna go? This is gonna be a slightly ghetto trip, i.e. Sleeping in the car and probably BEING in the car almost the entire time. (I'm bringing a sleeping bag.)Anyone hardcore enough to hang with two, or more, strangers for two days to see the AMAZING LEATHERMOUTH?We, me and my friend, are a 23 yr old gal(robot) and a 26 yr old dude(fagbot). Neither of us are threathening in anyway, we just have random crazy ideas that we try to make work. The "plan" AKA CRAZYNESS will begin with our departure at 4am on Saturday morning, hopefully arriving around 3pm. The show starts at 6pm, we think, at Club Sound. Once the show is over we'll sleep in the car until morning then we'll drive back and arrive Sunday evening. HELP US MAKE THIS WORK PLEASE.Sidenote: please be 18+, have your $58 up front, and not randomly kill us. I'll have mace! hi everyone,I am a 29 year old female who immigrated to this country a few years ago. I've been living in Southern CA since that time (cuz that's where my parents brought me) but I am finally getting the heck out of here. I mean I like where I live (overall) but So Cal is a bit hallow, there's no real sense of community and I just want out.Thankfully I got into Lewis and Clark Law School and also University of Washington Law School. So right now I am debating between living in Portland or Seattle. I am leaning towards Portland because I have heard so many great things about the city and Oregon in general. So I am now venturing to ask YOU what you like about Portland. What are some great places to live. My boyfriend will be moving with me and we can afford about $1,350.00 for an apartment/house and we would like to live in a nice area that's not in the Suburbs. We want to live in a more urban area but also want to live in a location that has a sense of community and tons of shops, etc. for us to walk to. I don't want to drive places... cuz that's what I have to do now in So Cal and I can't stand it. I just want to live in a great community with chill outdoorsey non pretentious people. So can any of you give me advice about what your city is like, what are some great up and coming places to live? what do you like the most? what do you like the least? what's the job market like? cost of living? just give me all the dish to get me pumped. This is the first time that I'll be living away from my family since we moved to this country... so I am a little bit apprehensive. OH ONE MORE THINGMy BF just got his degree in Mechanical Engineering and he would like to work for firm that does sustainable energy, etc. kind of like wind/water/solar power or a green construction company. Tonight is our last rehearsal before the day of, and things are going GREAT!We've all put a lot of time, effort and yes, even money into making this happen. It happens at the Fez Ballroom (316 sw 11th) THIS THURSDAY August 21st, and only costs 7 bucks.This, of course, being many girls nude/semi nude onstage painted white, with video/images/etc projected onto them from 5 or so sources while my musical outfit, Sad Music for Happy Humans, makes thick mindfuck music that builds to utilizing dubstep/dnb/electro/live sampled drum beats. Since this is happeningAfterwards will be some sweet IDM/breakbeat music by the esteemed DJ Tan't, and longtime Portland music makers Ryze + Fall and DJ Harp will be giving us all some great LIVE Drum and Bass and Dubstep to dance the night away with.I do hope you'll all attend, there is a great buzz going on about this show and I think it's going to end up being fabulous! A great place to find new fun adventures in Oregon is the 365 Days in Oregon, part of the Travel Oregon website. I clicked on 6/29 the picture of llamas, and was taken to a website on how you can go on a hike with an accompaning llama.
