Innen jordbærproduksjon er det ofte store utfordringer med soppsykdommer som gråskimmel (Botrytis) og melddugg. Dette kan føre til store avlingstap og tapt inntjening for produsentene. Derfor brukes det betydelige mengder med kjemiske sprøytemidler. Et lovende alternativ er ozonholdig vann.
