Summary in the original language of the document
This deliverable summarizes the outcomes of a survey addressed to a large panel of European stakeholders carried out in the framework of the ‘InnOBreed’ project to get a better understanding of the current fruit tree organic breeding needs and lack of knowledge across Europe. The survey aimed to collect data (126 responses from 11 countries) on currently used methods, materials, and tools of breeding/testing, major traits focused on today and traits that may become more important in the future in breeding/testing, and areas of needs, unresolved problems, and innovative solutions in fruit breeding/testing and fruit tree propagation in nurseries, with a focus on pip fruits (apple, pear) and stone fruits (apricot, cherry, peach).
