EPrint Type: Practice tool
Teaser: Fertiliser rules during conversion.
What problem does the tool address?: When a farm starts converting to organic, there are several different sets of rules for fertilisation on top of - or instead of - the general rules that apply to all farms.
What solution does the tool offer?: The new rules apply from different points in time depending on the time of conversion and the type of farm. During the transition period from conventional to organic farming, extra calculations or registrations are required to prove to the organic inspection that the organic fertiliser rules are complied with.
