Below can be found the details for two pets that need your help desperately to get to the safety of rescue, or to their adoptive homes. Without the aide of volunteer drivers, this cannot be possible. Please at least take a look; these animals have a place to go and someone to care for them, they just need help getting there. Thank you. Duncan is a long-haired dachshund making his second attempt to get out of the shelter, where he is kept outside and suffering from ringworm. The little boy is trying to make it to the safety and security of a foster home so that he might come in out of the rain. If he does not move this weekend, he will be put to sleep. Now traveling through Owensboro and Louisville, KY. This leg is critical. However, he's been having some difficulty making it from his rescue to his new family; the transport from last week remained unfilled, with equal luck so far this week. He's not even a sit-down guest. They're going to stand him up and feed him to the wolves and make Kentucky look even stupider. Stupid, stupid, stupid.These are the lines from the article I noted. **Calling it an opportunity to improve the state's image, Gov. Ernie Fletcher will appear on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, who earlier this month suggested a motto for the state could be "Kentucky: Got Teeth?"Fletcher is scheduled to have a standing appearance on the show, but is not going to be a sit-down guest, Groves said. A spokesperson for Leno's show in California confirmed that and said Fletcher would be part of a comedy skit."This is an opportunity to reach a large audience to let them know about what Kentucky's doing to promote our great state," Fletcher said Monday in a statement. "Hopefully, with Jay Leno's humor we can start the effort to improve Kentucky's image."**He's not going to be there long enough to promote our image!! He'll be there long enough to give the nation even more of a laugh at stupid Kentucky and then be sent away! Stupid, stupid, man. He just wants to be on national television! Arrgh.There are some smart people in this state, I swear. And in this town! Look at Johnny Depp!! He came from Owensboro and he didn't have to turn out...stupid! Jon Brennan from the Real World... now that was just stupid. No offense to anyone on my list and/or in Owensboro who know him personally. I just didn't like him and didn't see the hype. I don't like "cowboys" anyway. They get under my skin and make me want to start harming people.Gah. Kentucky isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, I swear. It's the stereotypes that mess things up. And none of them are true! I mean, stereotypes come from truths but the point is, there's nothing bad in Kentucky that isn't bad somewhere else! We're not the only state with trailer parks. I see dirtier ones going through Indiana. We're not the only state with poor white trash. They're very diverse, I'm sure. And we aren't the only state with rednecks! I'll shut up now.

[**Current Mood** |sleepy]Owensboro made Craig Kilborn tonight *L* It was about the tornado from a few years ago and some joke he made about it...Calling Ky Ken-Sucky. Evidentally there was a write up in the paper there that mentioned it and something about changing the state motto, and he had the clipping and did a bit on it :) The Governor's supposed to call him for Monday night's show to get suggestions (he did the funny ones tonite) for the new motto. I guess ya'll are tired of being the Blue Grass State? *L*
