Questo elaborato ha per oggetto l’analisi dei vizi propri di studenti e maestri dell’Università m... more Questo elaborato ha per oggetto l’analisi dei vizi propri di studenti e maestri dell’Università medievale. Lo studio si avvale di fonti di tipo omiletico, i sermones ad status, e non, in modo da offrire un quadro completo sulle figure di scholares e doctores. La comparazione dei sermoni di Jacques de Vitry, Humbert de Romans, Guibert de Tournai, Luca Lettore e Federico Visconti con testi di natura laica avviene evidenziando gli elementi comuni nel testo e le sovrapposizioni che sono presenti. L’intera analisi mira ad evidenziare come all’interno del milieu mendicante, che dell’insegnamento universitario aveva iniziato ad occuparsi fin da subito, ci sia una malcelata avversione nei confronti degli eccessi di vizio che lo studio e l’insegnamento potevano comportare. A fronte del lavoro svolto è possibile quindi riscontrare una sostanziale omogeneità nel pensiero medievale nei confronti dell’ambiente studentesco.

This work aims to analyse the vices of students and teachers of the medieval University. A wide variety of sources have been employed, primarily the omiletic ones, in the form of sermones ad status, and others that have originated in a laic environment. Among the authors of sermons Jacques de Vitry, Humbert de Romans, Guibert de Tournai, Luca Lettore and Federico Visconti have been chosen for this comparison. The whole analysis has had as a result the outlining of a badly concealed aversion toward the excesses in vices that are present in scholars and professors during the medieval times. It is possible to find substantial homogeneity among all the authors analysed on the subject of medieval student’s behaviour.

Lo studio si avvale di fonti di tipo omiletico, i sermones ad status, e non, in modo da offrire un quadro completo sulle figure di scholares e doctores. La comparazione dei sermoni di Jacques de Vitry, Humbert de Romans, Guibert de Tournai, Luca Lettore e Federico Visconti con testi di natura laica avviene evidenziando gli elementi comuni nel testo e le sovrapposizioni che sono presenti. This work aims to analyse the vices of students and teachers of the medieval University.
