I am a research scientist using remote sensing technologies to map ancient human settlements and reconstruct past landscapes and palaeoclimates. In addition to working on applications of space archaeology, my interests include the characterization of natural hazards processes through digital imagery analysis, and computational aspects of problems relating to the earth sciences, including the modeling and simulation of complex systems primarily using real-time and historical satellite and ground-based data.

Key skills:

Satellite remote sensing; earth and planetary observation; remote sensing of geophysical hazards; data analysis and visualization; Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR); software engineering using Java and Python; modeling and simulation of complex systems; big data and computation.
