John Wanamaker Resource Center
The Masonic Library and Museum
The John Wanamaker Resource Center was founded in 1908 and is home to one of the most extensive collections of books and artifacts for the study of Freemasonry in the country.
The library houses over 85,000 volumes covering all aspects of Freemasonry and its history, philosophy and contributions to civil society, as well as other topics such as art, architecture, etc. The library is a place of interest for members and academics alike, providing research and lending services to advance knowledge and understanding of the fraternity, its meanings and its place in history.
The museum is home to over 30,000 artifacts spanning centuries in age. It provides a stunning perspective into the history of Freemasonry and America.
Visitors who prefer to visit our gift shop and museum, but not take a guided tour, can pay $5 for entry into the building. Library access is free.
