WORKING WITH THE IMAGINARY IN THE FASCIST AND COMMUNIST SOCIETIES AND OVERCOMING SOCIAL HETERONOMY IN THE THEORY OF C. CASTORIADIS, 2023
The article raises the question of the existence of fundamental identity and difference between t... more The article raises the question of the existence of fundamental identity and difference between the totalitarian regimes of fascism/Nazism and communism with a discussion of their status in the first period of post-Soviet political transit. The main arguments in favor of identifying both types of totalitarianism and fundamental moments of distinction were reflected in the correspondence controversy of A. Besançon and L. Kołakowski. Criticism of the totalitarianism of fascist and communist types in the works of the French philosopher of Greek origin Cornelius Castoriadis allows to see the features that connect most totalitarian regimes despite the difference in their ideological programs, and which can represent a certain threat even for modern societies, and those points of Russian (Soviet) project of Communist society that allow to differ between Nazi and Communistic types of the Imaginary. At the end of the article, the main types of public heteronomy, characteristic of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, as well as the neoliberal model of consumption society, are also considered. According to Castoriadis, they are contrary to the ideas of social emancipation, replacing it with their principles of (pseudo)rational domination, against which his own project of collective social autonomy stands.

The main arguments in favour of identifying both types of totalitarianism and marking fundamental moments of distinction were reflected in the polemic of A. Besançon and L. Kołakowski. Criticism of the totalitarianism of fascist and communist types in the works of the French philosopher of Greek origin Cornelius Castoriadis allows seeing the features that connect most totalitarian regimes despite the difference in their ideological programs, which can represent a certain threat even for modern societies. It also highlights those points of the Russian (Soviet) project of Communist society that allow differentiating between the Nazi and Communistic types of the Imaginary. Finally, the article considers the main types of public heteronomy, characteristic of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, as well as the neoliberal model of consumption society. According to Castoriadis, they are contrary to the ideas of social emancipation, replacing it with their principles of (pseudo) rational domination, against which his own project of collective social autonomy stands.

The article concerns the significance of the semantic connective of understanding and playing in ... more The article concerns the significance of the semantic connective of understanding and playing in Gadamer's hermeneutical analysis of the experience of art. In the spotlight is a question of constructing of imaginary (virtual) worlds as a play-based reality of understanding. It argues the appeal to the experience of art as a paradigmatic subject of hermeneutical work and emphasizes the importance of understanding of such experience as a special kind of play that takes us to the ontology plane, as opposed to the classic aesthetic view on this subject. Along with the explication of a general idea of the play in Gadamer's hermeneutics, it also examines the main features of the artistic game itself, turning it into a multidimensional being of a special kind and a zone of gaining human freedom. The problematization of language also reveals it as the medium for the development of the artistic play and understanding, and the ethical aspects of the hermeneutic dialogue in the ongoing game is a theme of a special interest here too. The author develops his theoretical considerations based on comparative hermeneutic analysis of Hölderlin's verses in the works of M. Heidegger and G. Gadamer, which reveals the diversity and non-linearity of our interpretation of culture, the ability to see in it an inexhaustible source of new meanings and associative connections as a result of a play of art and its understanding.

жанром и в ряде случаев философия сама зачисляется в особый жанр литературы. Современная латиноамериканская проза Х. Кортасара и Х. Л. Борхеса демонстрирует свое метафизическое измерение, связанное с попыткой переосмысления и развития ряда философских идей и сюжетов на уровне воображаемого эксперимента с абстрактными сущностями. Анализ ряда произведений данных авторов показывает сложный и многовекторный характер их онтологических и экзистенциальных поисков, давая возможность усматривать в них моделирование потенциальных философских и космологических моделей будущего, что расширяет границы как философского, так и литературоведческого анализа.

В статье рассматривается значение смысловой взаимосвязи понимания и игры в герменевти-ческом анал... more В статье рассматривается значение смысловой взаимосвязи понимания и игры в герменевти-ческом анализе опыта искусства Гадамера. В центре внимания-вопрос о построении вооб-ражаемых (виртуальных) миров как игровой реальности понимания. Тем самым утверждается обращение к опыту искусства как к парадигматическому предмету герменевтической работы и подчеркивается важность понимания такого опыта как особого вида игры, которая перено-сит нас на уровень онтологии, а не эстетики восприятия как в классическом рассмотрении это-го вопроса. Наряду с объяснением общей идеи игры в герменевтике Гадамера, рассматриваются также основные черты самой художественной игры, что превращает ее в многомерную реаль-ность особого рода и зону обретения человеческой свободы. Проблематизация языка показы-вает, что язык является средством развития художественной игры и понимания, а этические аспекты герменевтического диалога в процессе игры становятся темой, которая представляет особый интерес. Автор развивает свои теоретические рассуждения на основе сравнительного герменевтического анализа стихов Гельдерлина в работах М. Хайдеггера и Г. Гадамера, которое раскрывает разнообразие и нелинейность нашей интерпретации культуры, способность ви-деть в ней неисчерпаемый источник новых значений и ассоциативных связей в результате игры искусства и его понимания.

In the light of the «game turn» of the contemporary thinking and culture and the global flowering of the game practices at the digital age the phenomenon of Game is of special importance. The paper concerns the ontological view on the nature of game based on the concepts of H. Gadamer and E. Fink that are of great help in detection of new aspects of the creative work and in setting of the alternative strategies of the understanding of the World and human being. The Game is treated here as a unique mode of fulfillment of the World’s and human’s Being that a man is able to join with if s/he turns on an appropriate regime of the comprehension and attitude to the categories of actuality and potentiality. In a situation of game/play human obtains a chance to shift to another mode of creativity and the constructing of the realm of senses. The principle of the recursive, or reproductive movement is also topic of the paper as a ground for development of the new game classification.

Nowadays there are a number of concepts used in expert circles to define a new type of war withou... more Nowadays there are a number of concepts used in expert circles to define a new type of war without the usage of conventional lethal weapons: psychological, informational, netwar, cyberwar or combined strategies, like, hybrid wars. This list can be also complemented by the concepts used by Russian analysts – anonymous war, organizational warfare, and finally, the consciental war. The last type of war is not primarily focused on the physical destruction of the enemy, but creates a lasting effect of the propaganda on the proper and the enemy audience, which would allow changing significantly the mental schemes, prevailing values and ways of self-identification of people to control and manipulate their behavior. One of the fundamental issues of the topic is: why does the most reflective and critical thinking part of the society – the intellectuals – nevertheless turn into the victims of propaganda effects of the consciental war? To answer that question it was important to appeal to the modern concept of the theory of propaganda by J. Ellul, who confirmed that there are many possibilities of direct and indirect impact on the individual, even a highly reflective one in the modern propaganda. Finally, the last question concerns the possibility to protect oneself somehow from the effects of con-sciental warfare and their damaging effects? Both passive and active forms of protection were analyzed in the article.

Исследуя в диалоге «Филеб» природу удовольствия, Платон также поднимает важный вопрос о сущности ... more Исследуя в диалоге «Филеб» природу удовольствия, Платон также поднимает важный вопрос о сущности смешного, в особенности в применении к тому смеху, который вызывает у нас комедия. При этом выражается эта сущность, как обычно, устами Сократа чрезвычайно антиномически: «А разве тебе неизвестно, что и в комедиях наше душевное настроение также не что иное, как смесь печали и удовольствия?» [2, c. 54]. Природа смешного заложена, по мнению Платона, в завладевшем человеческими душами пороке, корень которого лежит в фундаментальном незнании себя -своих истинных сил, добродетелей и преимуществ. Если речь идет о людях сильных и могущественных, то их незнание чревато, скорее, бедами и несчастьями для ближних, а потому, как правило, смех не вызывает, но когда речь идет о людях слабых, то это их незнание оборачивается своей комической стороной. Поскольку же незнание представляется злом для человека, то, по сути, смех, который оно вызывает, является злорадным и неправедным. При этом подобное злорадство оправдано, как считает Платон, лишь по отношению к врагам, но как в таком случае объяснить смех по отношению к друзьям, ведь нашу радость вызывают их злосчастья, иными словами, не возбуждает ли нас чувство зависти? На это Платон заключает: «смеясь над смешными свойствами друзей, сочетая удовольствие с завистью, мы смешиваем удовольствие со страданием. Ибо мы раньше уже согласились, что зависть есть страдание души, смех же -удовольствие, а в этих случаях то и другое бывает у нас одновременно» [2, c. 57]. Безусловно, здесь выражается общая нелюбовь Платона ко всему комическому, основанная на «некоем постоянном разладе между поэзией и философией», эмоциональностью и рассудительностью, но здесь важно, что сущность смешного выводится из внутреннего конфликта самого человеческого существа, созерцающего чужие несчастья.

В статье рассматривается значение смысловой взаимосвязи понимания и игры в герменевти-ческом анал... more В статье рассматривается значение смысловой взаимосвязи понимания и игры в герменевти-ческом анализе опыта искусства Гадамера. В центре внимания-вопрос о построении вооб-ражаемых (виртуальных) миров как игровой реальности понимания. Тем самым утверждается обращение к опыту искусства как к парадигматическому предмету герменевтической работы и подчеркивается важность понимания такого опыта как особого вида игры, которая перено-сит нас на уровень онтологии, а не эстетики восприятия как в классическом рассмотрении это-го вопроса. Наряду с объяснением общей идеи игры в герменевтике Гадамера, рассматриваются также основные черты самой художественной игры, что превращает ее в многомерную реаль-ность особого рода и зону обретения человеческой свободы. Проблематизация языка показы-вает, что язык является средством развития художественной игры и понимания, а этические аспекты герменевтического диалога в процессе игры становятся темой, которая представляет особый интерес. Автор развивает свои теоретические рассуждения на основе сравнительного герменевтического анализа стихов Гельдерлина в работах М. Хайдеггера и Г. Гадамера, которое раскрывает разнообразие и нелинейность нашей интерпретации культуры, способность ви-деть в ней неисчерпаемый источник новых значений и ассоциативных связей в результате игры искусства и его понимания.

The article concerns the significance of the semantic connective of understanding and playing in Gadamer’s hermeneutical analysis of the experience of art. In the spotlight is a question of constructing of imaginary (virtual) worlds as a play-based reality of understanding. It argues the appeal to the experience of art as a paradigmatic subject of hermeneutical work and emphasizes the importance of understanding of such experience as a special kind of play that takes us to the ontology plane, as opposed to the classic aesthetic view on this subject. Along with the explication of a general idea of the play in Gadamer’s hermeneutics, it also examines the main features of the artistic game itself, turning it into a multidimensional being of a special kind and a zone of gaining human freedom. The problematization of language also reveals it as the medium for the development of the artistic play and understanding, and the ethical aspects of the hermeneutic dialogue in the ongoing game is a theme of a special interest here too. The author develops his theoretical considerations based on comparative hermeneutic analysis of Hölderlin’s verses in the works of M. Heidegger and G. Gadamer, which reveals the diversity and non-linearity of our interpretation of culture, the ability to see in it an inexhaustible source of new meanings and associative connections as a result of a play of art and its understanding.

In the light of the «game turn» of the contemporary thinking and culture and the global flowering of the game practices at the digital age the phenomenon of Game is of special importance. The paper concerns the ontological view on the nature of game based on the concepts of H. Gadamer and E. Fink that are of great help in detection of new aspects of the creative work and in setting of the alternative strategies of the understanding of the World and human being. The Game is treated here as a unique mode of fulfillment of the World’s and human’s Being that a man is able to join with if s/he turns on an appropriate regime of the comprehension and attitude to the categories of actuality and potentiality. In a situation of game/play human obtains a chance to shift to another mode of creativity and the constructing of the realm of senses. The principle of the recursive, or reproductive movement is also topic of the paper as a ground for development of the new game classification.

Nowadays there are a number of concepts used in expert circles to define a new type of war withou... more Nowadays there are a number of concepts used in expert circles to define a new type of war without the usage of conventional lethal weapons: psychological, informational, netwar, cyberwar or combined strategies, like, hybrid wars. This list can be also complemented by the concepts used by Russian analysts – anonymous war, organizational warfare, and finally, the consciental war. The last type of war is not primarily focused on the physical destruction of the enemy, but creates a lasting effect of the propaganda on the proper and the enemy audience, which would allow changing significantly the mental schemes, prevailing values and ways of self-identification of people to control and manipulate their behavior. One of the fundamental issues of the topic is: why does the most reflective and critical thinking part of the society – the intellectuals – nevertheless turn into the victims of propaganda effects of the consciental war? To answer that question it was important to appeal to the modern concept of the theory of propaganda by J. Ellul, who confirmed that there are many possibilities of direct and indirect impact on the individual, even a highly reflective one in the modern propaganda. Finally, the last question concerns the possibility to protect oneself somehow from the effects of con-sciental warfare and their damaging effects? Both passive and active forms of protection were analyzed in the article.

Исследуя в диалоге «Филеб» природу удовольствия, Платон также поднимает важный вопрос о сущности ... more Исследуя в диалоге «Филеб» природу удовольствия, Платон также поднимает важный вопрос о сущности смешного, в особенности в применении к тому смеху, который вызывает у нас комедия. При этом выражается эта сущность, как обычно, устами Сократа чрезвычайно антиномически: «А разве тебе неизвестно, что и в комедиях наше душевное настроение также не что иное, как смесь печали и удовольствия?» [2, c. 54]. Природа смешного заложена, по мнению Платона, в завладевшем человеческими душами пороке, корень которого лежит в фундаментальном незнании себя -своих истинных сил, добродетелей и преимуществ. Если речь идет о людях сильных и могущественных, то их незнание чревато, скорее, бедами и несчастьями для ближних, а потому, как правило, смех не вызывает, но когда речь идет о людях слабых, то это их незнание оборачивается своей комической стороной. Поскольку же незнание представляется злом для человека, то, по сути, смех, который оно вызывает, является злорадным и неправедным. При этом подобное злорадство оправдано, как считает Платон, лишь по отношению к врагам, но как в таком случае объяснить смех по отношению к друзьям, ведь нашу радость вызывают их злосчастья, иными словами, не возбуждает ли нас чувство зависти? На это Платон заключает: «смеясь над смешными свойствами друзей, сочетая удовольствие с завистью, мы смешиваем удовольствие со страданием. Ибо мы раньше уже согласились, что зависть есть страдание души, смех же -удовольствие, а в этих случаях то и другое бывает у нас одновременно» [2, c. 57]. Безусловно, здесь выражается общая нелюбовь Платона ко всему комическому, основанная на «некоем постоянном разладе между поэзией и философией», эмоциональностью и рассудительностью, но здесь важно, что сущность смешного выводится из внутреннего конфликта самого человеческого существа, созерцающего чужие несчастья.
