hey everyone, i stumbled across this group whilst searching for "django reinhardt" and decided to join, cos anybody who likes django reinhardt can't be all that bad, right? so about me... i'm a 17 year old guy from northern england who now lives in the bay area. i've been living in germany for the past few months and i miss it. i love jazz, doing capoeira, going out to eat, learning languages, macs, old MGM movies, singing, playing alto sax, trying to attain nirvana, watching dude where's my car in german, and enjoying life... although i can be pretty pessimistic sometimes and think that my generation is complete.... well... shit? anyroad, looks like a cool group... looking forward to meeting you lot.

Lately I have been entertaining the idea of shipping myself to Europe and taking up with a band of gypsies, playing guitar and violin with those folks across France and Belgium. Of course everything would be beautiful and slightly flawed in execution at every stop. Our caravan would be a ragged affair and may shatter along a sloppy-banked river forcing us to build makeshift boats in an attempt to move on to the next village. There would be no hurry though, there would never be any rush with us. The leisure and slow freedom is the entire purpose in doing such a thing. I would wish to be like Django in my playing ,but as with everything else, the pressure to do so would not exist. Instead I would embrace having the base inspiration of Nuages and Minor Swing, using that as a foundation to pour out my own dances and ideas.Now then, who else would love to embrace a wanderlust and travel anywhere that feels right at the moment? Maybe not with gyspsies, but I'm sure everyone has dreams or something similar, let's hear all about them.

Also I dance, too much, too weird. I am down with Rocky Horror Picture Show... So call me a dork or what you will, but I can sew, and I make my own jumpsuits, and other things. I have nothing interesting to say, besides that I am a robot in disguise. I also have nothing to say that's worth discussing, but I wanted to post anyways, because, well, that's the way I do things.
