let man's petty nations tear themselves apart. (original) (raw)
Hello all of you! I know it's been a while since I last updated. Last month was a horrendous month that left me unable to fulfill one of my goals. However, I have been able to make a few icons, here and there, and I will hopefully post a batch by the middle of the week. It will probably be minimal, and it might not include everything I mentioned within the last batch.
I do have a pretty cool update for you all, though! I've updated my memories! I've added two new subjects, "Original Posts for Various Layouts," and "Possible Layouts for Future Use."
Under the first subject, you will find every post I've gotten layouts from, that I've used here at paperletters. Just a note, these layouts are from other makers; they were not made by me.
As you can guess, the layouts I've added under "Possible Layouts for Future Use" are different layouts I've discovered, and think I might possibly use. paperletters might be a "newer" community, but I'm always trying to keep things fresh.
I don't know if this will ever spur me into creating my own layouts. Truth be told, I don't really have the patience for it. I've done it a couple of times at my personal journal. Each time it's taken me at least six hours, and caused a lot of frustration. I'm always open to giving advice, and willing to help out with a layout you're struggling with. But as far as writing the coding for a layout, from scratch... no, not at this present time. (This could always change, with my ever-changing moods.)
However, I've recently "acquired" some new "tricks and tips" to use on different icons I've always had a struggle with. (i.e.: "Titanic," and other movie screencaps. I've always had such a hard time balancing Rose's red hair, and the other vibrant colors within the cap!) Because of what I've learned, I believe this will get me back into header/banner/friend's only banner making, and motivate me into tutorial writing!
That's it for now! I hope everything is going well for all of you! Enjoy your spring, and I will hopefully post and update for all of you, soon.
